Good news is always welcome!!!

That poor 3-headed giant is everybody's punching bag this turn. He'd about need to be Wile E. Coyote to survive this.

I'm not sure.
It's taller than a storm giant at nearly 25 feet! We might be forced to retreat into the tavern and let Big Red handle him if he follows us.

It is going to be interesting to see how we fare here.

Re: B S (XI)
Hey gang.
I got some pretty horrible news from my doctor regarding cancer in my left kidney. It is apparently early stage, but we won’t know exactly how bad until they get in there and look around. (scope scheduled for next Friday)
This obviously feels like a swift kick to the junk for me at the moment, so I hope you will understand if I take a little downtime to process it all.
I can say the prognosis is good, since they caught it early, so no need to freak out or anything. I just don’t feel overly creative mentally at the moment.
I’m not going anywhere long term. (you guys ain’t getting off the hook that easy ) I love this place and all the great folks I’ve had the pleasure of meeting and gaming with here over the years. I intend to continue killing orcs with all of you for years to come, once I get this sorted.

Wow. It's hard to imagine what getting that kind of news must be like. Good thoughts your way, OM. See you back whenever the urge strikes you again. Take good care.

My obligatory ...
Definitely in my family's prayers. My wife was diagnosed with endometrial cancer. An old lady's cancer ... at 35 ... on her birthday. Yes, it is a kick to the junk. The games can wait. No obligations, except, return the favor and kick that cancer back in the junk!
Re: B S (XI)
Rob you are in my prayers. Hold in there and you will get through it. I was diagnosed with cancer of the sweat glands at age 44 and 3 surgeries and 9 years later I am still going. You will beat it.

Shit. That really sucks. I really hope it was caught early, and nothing else is found. I've had to watch my dad go through the same thing, except his spread to the colon. I'm glad that you went to the doctor and found it, too many men put off such things. So here's my public service announcement: As many of us are a certain age, go get screened.
Take care of yourself.

Damn. rough news, OM- but I'm glad they caught it early. Take your time and heal. We'll be here.

All the best OM. Been through this with my Dad and lymphoma (chemo is tough) and my wife with Thyroid - both made it through well.
Positive waves indeed!

Latest update:
Hey folks!
First of all, THANKS for the well wishes! They really help!
I had my cystoscopy and ureteroscopy last Friday and am finally felling better from that pricey torture.
Good news is......the inside of my kidney and all the plumbing attached look healthy and clear from the tumor. Which means the cancer is only growing on the outer portion of the organ. From what I gathered, this is the best case scenario.
Since the rest of my insides look good, there will be no need for any chemo or radiation treatments. I now need to undergo a partial nephrectomy (scheduled for 7/28), which is the surgical removal of the infected area of the kidney. I cant imagine that recovery being very much fun either, but it beats the heck out of dying miserably a few years down the road.
I will likely still be a little slow getting back to normal posting here again, but I wanted to let you all know the positive results so far.
Again, THANKS for sending the good vibes while I beat this nasty crap into submission.
