I'd like to remind players of the task resolution system used in Traveller

2D + Skill DM + Characteristic DM - Difficulty DM + Luck DM if applied by player + Speed of execution DM if player specifies its use + Boon or Bane dice awarded for preparation and the outcome of associated tasks, cooperation between team members, etc.

To date I have seen no indications from the narratives of careful execution and some hasty ones; no use of luck; and little preparation (Rradzoka's ambush prep the main exception) or cooperation (again Rradzoka's organisation with Denghez and Captain Daehaggzoegr the exception).
Yeelau has a major impediment of not being a native speaker of Aekhu, and Sazqelimqariepr's lonely recon is hampered by one venue being positively Alienist and he bringing human talents to dealing with non-humans. Vargr (and bears when you meet one) are different, Souggvuez are weird!

Query: What are the rules around Luck? Does one invoke it as a modifier, and if so is it a replacement of another stat roll or in addition? Is it rolled against? Is it a finite resource?

The way i'm seeing this is that with this, the "A new Heaven? A new Earth (Traveller)", your own games and others things were spread a bit thin and my offerings had lost focus.

I'm sorry - Having changed employer, I'm definitely getting less time to concentrate on Games. Also, my care responsibilities for my mother-in-law have jumped.
