If no one else grabs the backpack, Thorily does! She won't leave it in the streets when they leave for the temple.
One Backpack sold to the player from Stockholm! :) Please add the backpack to Thorily's character sheet.

Nesta releases the stubborn child and pulls Sabbon to the side for a quick word.

He whispers. "Good sir. I couldn't help but notice the small tattoo on your wrist. I believe I have seen such a thing before," he lies.

If the boy continues to resist being escorted to the Temple, the elf suggests using magic to control him better.

"Could we not put him to sleep for a short while so he could be carried easier?"

Mudlark
Yer, Ganavette. It's me. Now, are you going to stow all this noise? You're howling like a banshee, and these honest citizens are about to waste magic on you.
She cocks an eye at Thorily. It could be a contract- but I don't think anyone would hire a child for a job like this.

Thorily does a "scary posture", the kind you'd use to scare kids, bending her fingers into a claws staring eyes wide open at Ganavette.

"Yessssss or I will turn you into a toad! Hssssss"

She giggles and then turns to Mudlark, her face becoming more serious again.

"Unless...you wanted to make it look like an everyday theft. Think about it. The perfect cover." She nods knowingly at Mudlark and Nest.

Mudlark
Maybe. But guttersnipes are easier to stop, and some of 'em get distracted too quick. Better to use an adult.

The man nods, averts his eyes with some visible discomfort, and politely dismisses himself, "Pardon me, I must clean up these splintered pieces before someone else is likely to injure themselves in passing. The day is still fresh." He tosses them aside into the pile of burning wood that heats the next change of water.

Nesta may be unaware of this small tattoo as an elf, but may have spent enough time in human civilization to recognize it. Please roll 1d20, where success is less than or equal to Nesta's INT score. I'll ask you to keep player knowledge separate from character knowledge and reveal it is a tattoo indicating a convicted thief and deemed untrustworthy, at least at the time of the tattoo, for future service to the Tower District. If you roll successfully, you may proceed with Nesta knowing this fact. Otherwise, it is not obvious to Nesta.

Ganavette is initially unsure of her intent but warms up to Thorily with the beginnings of a smile before hiding it again behind mild confusion.

Ganavette rises gently but remains injured. He moves at a careful and slow pace until he hobbles a bit towards the direction of the Civic Temple. He whimpers occasionally as he walks aside Mudlark.
