And with much less medication, right?

This is really great to hear!

Yes, my doctor even cut it back more, and I'm doing well with it. I went from 12 pills a day to two (1/2 pill 4 times a day)

Yeah, DBS surgery is truly a life-changing operation. We remove tumors and the patient may get 6 months instead of 3 (worst case- many live for years after, obviously dependent on what type of tumor) but with DBS, they get their life back. One of the things I like about those cases so much is that we really do help make a difference in our patient's life.
Sometimes this summer I will most likely be participating in another 24 hour game of Dungeons & Dragons as part of Extra Life. This organization uses gaming to help raise money to donate to children's hospitals. I'm raising money for Marshfield Children's Hospital in Marshfield, WI, and all money I raise will go to that hospital. All donations are tax-deductible. Please take a moment to check out my donation page below. Thank you.

Yes, that's a good point about the tumors, etc. And yea, I got my life back. I wasn't able to drive just before the surgery, as I'd progressed too a bad point. It would have just continued to get worse, obviously...

I'm a bit late to this announcement but that is a heck of a story. Glad to hear you got some time back and sharing.

Great news. I hadn’t been aware of your condition before now. I’m glad this is working for you and pray that it continues to do so.
