Re: Quest #37 "Black Metal Examination"
Chauncey gathers up odds and ends from his shack surprisingly quickly. He packs up random spell components and his chicken foot brazier and prepares to head to Clifftown.
“We’ll, we’d best be off!” he says, anxiously.

Ghostown
Moonday, 1st of Harvester
Late Morning, Hot, Humid, Very Buggy
The group goes through the old town quickly, learning that many dwarves were chased here by the strange rock creatures. Some of them made it into the sea, where their rocky killers wouldn't follow. A few made it back to the ship, but most of the dwarves were slaughtered horribly wherever they made a stand.
2 of the 8 freed slaves decide to stay here with the stragglers cleaning up whatever remains, but the others all ask if they can accompany the group to this new town they keep talking about. Darklin finds all his items safe and sound, but sees nothing remaining of any of the stuff from others he has known. It isn't long before the lizards are loaded up and the trek across the beach is underway.
Actions?
Next stop is Clifftown, so are there any actions you would like to take along the way?

Grimm
The dwarf eyes Chauncey suspiciously all the time. He hasn't seen him taking with his monkey telepathically before and he's suspicious of him and his interest on the horn. He walks along with the group but keeps some few feet away.
Elnaerel
The cleric keeps walking, reflecting on the events that have taken place since she left the town the day before.

Wes
Wes casts Speak with Animals several times to converse with the lizards. He tries to reassure them that the humans of Clifftown will treat them much better than the Stoneguts. They will feed them and take care of them in exchange for the lizards helping the humans with their farms and building their town.
He also tried to guage the lizards intelligence, to see if one of them would be a suitable recipient of an Animal Friendship spell in the future.

Chauncey, were he better at noticing normal emotional cues, would note Grimm's suspicious attitude towards him, but he is not particularly aware of such things.
"May I touch your horn, Grimm? I find it quite fascinating," he says as they move out.

Re: Quest #37 "Black Metal Examination"
Entering Clifftown
Late Afternoon, Hot, Humid, Very Buggy
The group get their lizards packed and mounted, heading due east towards the river along the packed sand trail. The disturbance in the sand half way up the beach is no longer there, and a horrible stench comes from the jungle in that area.
It is late in the day by the time the meandering lizards reach the outskirts of the new settlement dubbed Clifftown. A group of people come to the small beach area on the other side of the river as your mounts wade into the water. After a quick swim that soaks boots and robes, the lizards climb up the sand towards the gathering crowd on the beach.
Actions?
This action can be picked back up in the Clifftown thread, where it feels like several new developments can now be discussed. (again)
