This one sat around in a storage room in our house when I was in preschool. Kind of creeped me out. Did a guy fall out of a space station with no suit? I wanted to know what it was about, but I couldn't read. I should read it now and put the mystery to rest.

Dragons seem to hold an endless fascination with fandom culture.
Books of our childhood hold a special place. I still have my paperbacks from when I started reading genre stuff heavily at 11.
Right now I'm reading a nonfiction book about Rush and Robert Silverberg short stories in their original form from issues of Amazing, Future SF and Galaxy magazines from the 1950-70s.

I love the artwork in this animation about two World War II fighter pilots. "Paths of Hate" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AjXr9Nj5ZbI The music ("Sixteen Days" by This Mortal Coil) isn't in the original, the Youtube poster added it. But it somehow synchronizes nicely with the action in the animation.
The artwork kind of reminds me of the late Bernie Wrightson's work.

Happy New Year. Pass the Green.
Re: Visions of Futures Past (Our Stories in Art)
aHappy New Year! I need to watch that movie. I never saw it because everybody had already announced spoilers. Charlton Heston was in some great over-the-top movies (that one, Planet of the Apes, Earthquake, and my favorite, Omega Man.

My son plays Fallout. I like the retro-future post apocalyptic approach they take.

that is the one thing I like about it they gave it that old 1930's-1940's feel. In a post-apocalyptic world. The retro posters and all that they put in the games is fun to find.

Re: Visions of Futures Past (Our Stories in Art)
I bought the Fallout RPG, a hardback book, hoping he’d play. But no, outside occasional D&D games when he was younger he didn’t get the RPG bug. The Fallout system isn’t the easiest. I borrowed some ideas for my Skype campaign but haven’t played the game proper.

I need to get my hands on that hardcover....all I have is a pdf of what I can only determine was a fan creation using a more standard game system. It's all based on rolling % dice mostly.
