Elnaerel

With the ever present collaboration of the dice roller, the elf keeps fighting, knowing that she wont be able to live if she abandons Sir Narramore on that spot.

Magical Love Is Hard To Keep Alive
Sunday, 28th of Goodmonth
Early Morning, Warm, Humid, Buggy

Keeping one foot tightly on the neck of the prone dwarf still on the ground disrupts Elnaerels attack on the dwarf currently trying to kill her.

Luckily she is able to duck his return attack this time and takes no further damage. When the distant horns sound again, the dwarf almost takes off in that direction. But instead, winds up for another swing at the elf.

Actions?

Elnaerel

"You're time is running out, dwarves. Even if you defeat me, what will your chiefs think about you, not helping your clan when they're in need? You denied them help because of some unimportant escapee? What if there's an army coming for you?" She says while the fight goes on.

Morningstar - To hit [1d20]=9; Dmg S/M [2d4]=3 L [1d6+1]=1+1=2

Despite her concern for her own life, the elf is even more preoccupied by the knight's.

The dwarf under Elnaerel's foot is finally able to wrestle the elf off of him, jumping to his feet and drawing his sword.

The other takes one more half hearted swing at the elf before heeding her words and taking off towards the mine.

The first calls after his fleeing kinsman in Dwarven. "Hey! What about the she-elf? We cant let her get away, can we"

He appears ready to make an attack despite the reduced odds.

Elnaerel

The elf doesn't want to risk being attacked while not doing anything about it, so she swings her trusted morningstar while keeping her distance, letting an opening for the dwarf to run back to the mine. "You're now alone. Things don't seem to be going that well at your camp. What will they think of you?" She says, desperately trying to convince the last of them.

C'mon. Seriously?

The last dwarf isn’t as easy to frighten away, rubbing his throat as he attacks.

“Ye stepped on me neck. Now ye gotta die!”

His blade digs deep, nearly dropping Elnaerel with a vicious new wound. 5 dam :?

Elnaerel

The elf feels the pain from her many wounds, but more than that, she starts to suspect that the knight is dead, although her focus on the battle didn't let her confirm her suspicions. Now she starts regretting her actions. She could have yielded while she got the chance. She could have asked the dwarves for a chance to heal Sir William with her last spell, and hopefully bring him along back to the mine. They would both be alive, even if as prisoners.

"You're stronger than me. I see it. But I guess now it's too late to yield, isn't it?"

Great, I rolled a 3, but now I can't find where the roll is. Anyway, the dwarf can already kill Elnaerel. It was my pig-headededness that brought me here anyway, and the excelent dice roller, like always, of course (not one single decent roll in the last... 5 attacks?).

Is running away screaming like a child an option?

"It's never too late ta yield, lass. But ya stepped on me neck!"

The dwarf tries to cut Elnaerel in half with his sword after their brief parlay, but she easily ducks the swing this time.

Elnaerel

"You win, then. I yield. You'll have the honor of having taken me prisoner where six of your kinsmen couldn't.

I'll come with you. I only hope that, whatever's going on over there doesn't take us..."

She throws her morningstar next to the sack with the other belongings in the hopes that it'll call the dwarf's attention... Since maybe her holy symbol is in there. "Should I carry the sack myself? Do you mind if... I check on my companion?" She feels a knot in her throat but she tries to control her emotions in front of the Stonegut.

The dwarf almost swings again, but decides to take pity on the elf instead, likely thinking of some other nefarious purpose she could serve.

"Lets go then. I need ta find out what's going on at the mine. Check yer friend and lets go!"

Unfortunately, Sir Narramore is no longer breathing. :(

Elnaerel

"He... He's dead..." says the cleric as she checks on the man she's been in love with since she draw that card from that damned deck. She feels the tears forming in her eyes and blurring her view, but she does everything she can to hold them back. She stands up, knowing that the dwarf won't be so kind as to help her or wait for her to bury the body of the paladin. There's been enough begging already. "Let's go."

Maybe she'll escape once more and return. Maybe she'll be able to bury him. If not, she'll always have the comfort of having left him in the comforting arms of Ehlenestra.

Magical Love Is Dead
Sunday, 28th of Goodmonth
Early Morning, Warm, Humid, Buggy

Being roughly grabbed and practically dragged back through the jungle to the mine, Elnaerel can finally take in the carnage going on there.

She sees a few dwarves scattered about, most of them running around frantically. As she is pulled in the direction of the mine, she spots two people who don’t appear to belong here rushing up the ramp to escape. One is her kinsman Darklin, and the other is Wes the popular half elven druid. As the two parties notice each other, shouts of help can suddenly be heard coming from inside a nearby building.

The ground is rumbling and from the screams coming from out of the mine, bad things are happening down there.

You can pick up the action here:
