Okay, I'll work on that today. Some of it will be back-tracking, just to make sense.

My apologies for my extended absence. Things got away from me.

Jacques is catching up and is on board with whatever is put forth.

No complaints from me ... life is what happens while you were making other plans. :)

My only hope is to complete the rescue before a Christmas break, but whatever happens ... happens.

Is there a general feel for the place? Is it a normal site that just happens to have slavers or is it a wretched hive of scum and villany?

It is an isolated homestead constructed at great expense with the potential to be well defended. It happens to be at a very low state of alert at the moment, but a lookout in the "Lantern" and defenders shooting from upper windows and through heavy shutters in stone walls would make a costly fortification to attack. At the same time, the large windows offer glimpses into an ornate interior fit for an aristocrat.

It is a fortified mansion in an isolated location set atop an expensive stone support (granting "landholder" claim to what would otherwise be an unclaimed patch of sea). Depending on the law of the territory (New Britannia or the German Federation), the owner could claim certain rights of sovereign government. As this area is not controlled by any nation, the legal status is anyone's guess and ambiguous at best.

My apo9logies for bowing out yet again. I need to look for a job, and I need to keep my head on straight. Those seldom get done at the same time. If someone wants to play, or NPC Diana, feel free.

The diceroller doesn't want to let me with my password, atpollard, please roll for me. Analog dice are fine, I trust you not to fudge anything.

COVID19 impacts have finally reached work.
I had hoped to finish the rescue before shutting down the game, but we are in full crisis management mode and (as you can tell) I just have no time to post.

Just as a heads-up ... expect an inflation driven economic downturn within the next 6 months starting with a collapse in the "construction sector". We have a building that is 100% complete except for Air Handling Units that the Manufacturer says will be available in another 4 to 6 months. We have buildings that have doubled in cost during the 3 month time between starting permit and starting construction with the contractors unable to guarantee prices throughout construction. Costs of material and bidding over shortages is driving up costs that fast.

Exciting times to be a Project Manager. :(

So this is the official announcement that this game is over.
Thank you all.
We had a long run and a lot of fun.

Sorry to hear that, but understandable.

I really enjoyed the work you put in and the nice nautical twist. Good playing with you, and hopefully, we will be able to do it again sometime.

Thanks for running a fun game. :D

I'm sorry that I somehow missed this when you first posted it.

I hope things improve for you, and it was cool what I did see.

Sorry to hear the game is ending. It was lots of fun.

Here’s hoping you get to have more boring times to be a project manager at some point.
