Ship's Stewards, Joxe, Sigrun and John Lee are getting that dinner ready. Sigrun, of course, is more concerned with security than food, but that isn't her direct duty at the moment. Joxe, recalling what happened a week ago is a little worried about what everyone is eating and thinking about making sure everyone is safe this time.

Zaki had taken the precaution of checking samples of every dish before preparing it for anything that shouldn't be there. She takes trays to Carlos and whomever else is standing bridge watch. "I checked everything carefully, I promise."

Carlos blows her a kiss as he keys in the final corrections to the jump arc and runs the test routine. As the computer flags it 'Viable', he nods and says, "Jump solution confirmed. Locking into computer, Skipper." He keys the solution in and runs the program, keys the intercom. "Engine room, bridge. Jump solution is locked in. Awaiting your commit." He takes his tray from Zaki, sips his zapana, and blows her another kiss. "Thanks, dear."

He sits a moment, enjoying the relative calm and quiet of the bridge, then gets up and heads down to the crewspace himself. Quietly to himself. "Think I heard Sigrun talking about ale, even up here. Maybe we can market ourselves as an 'Authentic Sword Pirate Cruise' sometime..."

It doesn't take long for all of the crew to finish with their "entering jump" procedures and migrate over to the crew lounge. Carlos arrives shortly after John Lee. Emily and Pavel come up from Engineering and Pedro arrives from the bridge shortly after. Zaki and Sigrun, making sure the passengers are fed and secured are the last to arrive.

There's a pot of caff brewing on one counter top and John Lee is putting out cold cuts and a loaf of crusty bread along another counter. A plastic container sitting next to them holds a quantity of small crunchy vegetables.

"Jump always makes me hungry." John Lee grins, "No fancy dinner like Zaki can whip up, just sandwiches and bites. Hope that's okay with everybody?"

"It looks great! You're hired as the Assistant Chef," Zaki says with a grin. She waits her turn for the food and the caff, and then she sits down to eat.

Sigrun says "Jump was always a time for anticipation or relief and ever the calm between the two. Bread and meat is good but veggies build vitality". She reports to Pedro "Zaki and I have fed the corporates and they are content. They voted so unanimously".

She removes her thigh holster and loosens the fastenings on her vacc suit and seems to visibly relax.
