Deleting posts/topics in private forums

#1 Post by GreyWolfVT »

Is there some new trick to make a topic or post delete normally in a private forum?

Example: player beat DM to the punch and posted a topic I re-created it so I can edit the main post to list a roster of PC's but now the deleted topic still shows up in that forum with a recycle symbol and shows in moderator control panel as "soft deleted" is this like the archive process where it leaves a shadow copy? What exactly changed or am I doing wrong?

We were loath to have anyone but the original poster delete messages. This has caused some minor (though threatened to be major) issues in the past. Best way is to have the player delete it - I think.
This is a game about killing things and taking their stuff so you can become more powerful in order to kill bigger things and take even better stuff.

Pulpatoon: The whole point of PbP is to take the scheduling pressure off the game. We're just chatty because we're so eager!

Leitz: Quality and quantity wise, I think US is the best I've seen.
Paladin: I can promise terror, glory, and riches...or a quick and brutal death.
Inferno: Come on! That's was Vicar's Head, a completely different doomed village!
Rex: I can move to the wait list to let someone else into the game.

Okay I just checked and see what was there. I deleted all the soft deleted Topics- there were actually 5 other than yours. They were full of emply posts anyway.
I guess just let us know and we can delete for you.

I think, for this, we could also change the author of the original post (instead of recreating it) which would give you the ability to edit it.
-- Project --
Playtest: Untitled Project (1e)
-- DM --
Greyhawk Campaign: Sandbox (1e)

I didn't see where I could change that but I've had a bit of a harder time locating some of the Moderation parts since the change of the site. Still figuring out where some things are located now. I suppose I could have asked to have ownership of the topic changed to myself but I had already bugged enough for forum creation I didn't want to keep "bugging" you guys :D
