Re: The Sign(for Zengar and Elvis)
Zengar gives Elvis a mischievous grin, the thumbs up salute, and then proceeds to do exactly as Elvis suggests.

As you follow the fence line you notice the cable isn't tight but run loosely through the fence rungs. It is tied to steel posts about 30' each side from the lock.
Re: The Sign(for Zengar and Elvis)
Elvis will try to untie the cable from the posts then, while holding the bells to silence them, slide the lock and cable out from the fence.

Re: The Sign(for Zengar and Elvis)
If Elvis is successful in dismantling the cable from the posts, Zengar will speed walk over to him, sword unsheathed once again, and praise him for creating an entry way: "Brilliant, a way inside. Let's be ready for whatever is there!" The wizard steps inside.

Re: The Sign(for Zengar and Elvis)
crap.I didn't see these posts. Sorry for delay!
Tracing the cable along the proves fairly simple and you manage to slip the lock fairly easily.
Opening the gate makes only a small squeak, it must be used on occasion as the hinges are not frozen.
Peaking thru the gate reveals, as I said earlier, a vast walkway with what appear to be corpses frozen in place like grotesque statues in various states of decomposition.

"Sound logic, these things give me the creeps anyway...and I've seen some weird stuff in my day." Zengar will take this advice and proceed around the corpses as he moves down the walkway.

Re: The Sign(for Zengar and Elvis)
Zen keeps hearing in his head a quote from his Bible: "The way is shut. It was made by those who are dead and the dead keep it."
But the corpses remain... corpses as you make your way through the macabre scene.
Following the projected trail of the comet, still northerly, you see the paved path and several buildings have been cracked and choked by vegetarian, but otherwise unvandalized like the ticket booths and cars outside the gate.

Zengar continues on his trek, slashing away vegetation using Ragnez if necessary. "Old Man Willow, I hope you did not somehow leave a sapling here..." He mutters as he makes his way through.

Re: The Sign(for Zengar and Elvis)
So the walkway in the pic allows movement to east and west...?
Re: The Sign(for Zengar and Elvis)
Is that a question or a statement?

Zengar will opt for the east, and when he can he will return to the north path.

Re: The Sign(for Zengar and Elvis)
Heading east along the path all remains quiet. To the left you can see into some of the souvenir and gift shops. They're doors and windows are open. Within are years of blown in leaves and other refuse. Some wildlife and birds have also made homes among the shelves of nic -nacs and racks of rain washed shirts.
A rather portly corpse (#4) is on display on the path as well.
I'll post new post shortly under the assumption you will continue east then north, unless one of you posts different.

Re: The Sign(for Zengar and Elvis)
Elvis is curious about the corpse diorama . . . but not curious enough to mess with them.

Zengar will, like Elvis, not mess with the corpses but rather observe them from a safe distance.

Re: The Sign(for Zengar and Elvis)
The store fronts curve around to the north but the walkpath continues east across some tracks.
There is another corpse(corpse5) to the north and you can see the body of some large animal at its feet.
Cant make out much from this range. A large circle of electric lamps, tables, and benches separate you from the corpse.

Re: The Sign(for Zengar and Elvis)
Elvis would continue to follow the path to the north, avoiding the corpses as much as possible.
