Tub will stay with regular leather then.
How about thieve's with bows and arrows?

Tub will take a short sword and 4 more daggers.

Alethan: I'm good with NOT pressing our luck this time.
mjulius: That's how I know I'm home.
Pulpatoon: The whole point of PbP is to take the scheduling pressure off the game. We're just chatty because we're so eager!
Scott308: ...everyone should be reminded of just how wonderful the people they play games with here can be in real life.
Leitz: Quality and quantity wise, I think US is the best I've seen.
Paladin: I can promise terror, glory, and riches...or a quick and brutal death.
Inferno: Come on! That's was Vicar's Head, a completely different doomed village!
Rex: I can move to the wait list to let someone else into the game.

Thank you very much Korec says Sergius These objects might be the difference between success and failure considering what we have seen thus far.

He asks the others Anyone interested in keeping anything in particular? If there are no other takers I will take my chances with the potion...

Vik's eyes get huge when the old half-orc innkeep opens up the small chest. His gaze comes to rest on the magical bracers of archery. "Indeed!" he opines in wonderment before looking back up at Korec with a look of gratitude and a silent nod of thanks and respect. "We'll be safe and bring all it back, Korec! You can count on that!"

The young churl nods in agreement with Sergius and then looks around to his companions again. He eyes the bracers again. "If'n none of you mind too muchly me trying out them thar bracers, I'd be liking to give them a go! Always wanted to be able to shoot a bow better..."

OOC: sorry for late response, Wolf! Holiday weekend ran really long...

Edit: ok, so far we have received the following from Korec for the mission:

- Harold's Healing potion - Cilian
- 5 of Harold's Healing Gumballs - Vik (+ Tub, Serg, Osric & Scy??) (Have one marked on Vik's sheet)
- Ring of Protection +1 - Tub
- Bracers of Archery - Viktor
- Broach of Shielding - Scythius or Cilian??
- Potion of Speed - Sergius

(not a confirmed list, mind you, just thought to help expedite!)

decide among yourselves who gets what and be sure to mark it on your sheet.

Please let me know what your next actions/plans. What are you doing and how are you going to do it.

Cilian picks up the broach and flips it over in his hands carefully, thinking...

"If I were able to cast such a spell, and I came across us, the first thing I would do with it is target someone like me. In this case, that would be ME. Would anyone mind greatly if I took this for protection against such a thing?"

OOC: Adding the Broach of Shielding to my character sheet.

Thanks Korec, Tub says as he nods at him and grasps his arm in farewell.

Vik smiles back nervously and somewhat abashed at his childhood friend and aspiring ranger. He retrieves the magical bracers and puts them on, his eyes getting wide and any sign of consternation immediately disappears from his visage. "That was then, Scy. This is now!" he announces with foolhardy resolve as he holds them up to show them off like a teenager would with a new toy.
wolfpack wrote: (Korec) Good luck to yo all and stay safe.
Vik thanks the old half-orc again and shakes his hand after Tub does. "We'll keep all this 'tween us then, Korec. Keep an eye on 'ol Minter while we're gone. I worry about them Death Mongers trying to have a go at him!"

Once everyone has said their goodbyes to Korec, Viktor will take stock of himself and look to Cilian. "Okay then, Cil. I guess we be ready as we'll ever be. When that amulet talked to ya, did it tell you where their nearest temple be?"

OOC: updating character sheet with bow (short or long?), quiver with 12 arrows and Bracers of Archery!

Edit Note: based on those gnarly penalties (UA,pg22) that Vik would suffer from wearing studded leather, he will stick with his regular leather armor!

"It changes, depending on where you are, I'd imagine," Cilian replies as he pulls the amulet out and places it around his neck again. "Let's see what it says now..."

So we are going to the temple then? Ok, says Tub as he follows his comrades.
