May 1st - The first man to fall outside of Greyhearth's gates was the mighty warrior Haukr Haraldsson , played by Karaunios. He fell, axe in hand, in the heat of battle with unearthly red-eyed savages just outside the great gates. Now he drinks with his brothers in Valhalla.

Later that day, a reincarnated Haukr in wolf form faced down two others of his kind along with a band of red-eyed night-walkers. Whatever darkness taints the minds of those beasts leapt into his and possessed the doughty warrior, leading his comrade Siegfried to put an axe through his head.

Two brutal slayings in a single day for Haukr...some characters have all the luck.

The second brave soul to meet his fate while undertaking the first expedition from Greyhearth was the warrior Vamstar.

When his comrades were caught between savage enemies and a giant beetle, he lured the beetle from a tight corridor to make room for his companions to pass and was caught between the beast's mandibles. It cracked him like a walnut and left his broken body for the man-eating plants to devour.

A valiant death! Drink one for Vamstar when you gather 'round the fire and tell tales.
