Andrew held up the scroll for the King to see. "See here? It says A trade of fine wool and timber to Rododafni in exchange for purple ore from the high bank. "I can look for it on my excursion to visit foreign lands."

"And the purple ore, that is for what? The making of bronze? ... Well done, Andrew. Your mission with Marcus has extra importance now." Alec smiled wearily. "Please excuse me, I'm going back to bed. Good night!"

Andrew returned to the Scriptorium, scroll in hand.

Origen greeted him on his return. "What did the king say?"

"Not much. This will impact the future. If the Lycanthropes are indeed in league with Rododafni, how can Aegium trade with them for the ore?"

"A puzzle for another day. get some sleep lad."

The day had come. Bran was off to Elaionas with Sosan, Grigorios, Damali, and a few others carrying spears and helmets and shields. Andrew and Marcus were to find the trail to Rododafni, then continue to scout out the neighboring but quite foreign kingdom. Alec's uncle Platon would go with them at least as far as the falls at the head of the Swift.

Any preparations for the trip?

Andrew packed all his things, and added some ink, quills and blank pages. All the better to look like an eager explorer of new lands.
He bid goodbye to Origen. "See you in a few days. Sorry i won't be helping with copying those botany scrolls."

Andrew went outside to find Marcus.
