I was able to get the update for my Aberdeen game posted just now, but will need to push the update for this game until tomorrow (Friday), hopefully during the day.

Apologies for the delay, but we're moving again.

Thanks for letting us know. I'll be working on updating this game tonight/tomorrow, so I'll have something for you to reply to before the weekend. You shouldn't miss anything.

Also, happy anniversary!

SeaSaltSong, I just noticed there wasn't a round 2 action posted for Kythaela.

Happy anniversary!
Sometimes this summer I will most likely be participating in another 24 hour game of Dungeons & Dragons as part of Extra Life. This organization uses gaming to help raise money to donate to children's hospitals. I'm raising money for Marshfield Children's Hospital in Marshfield, WI, and all money I raise will go to that hospital. All donations are tax-deductible. Please take a moment to check out my donation page below. Thank you.

PM sent to SeaSaltSong clarifying their continued interest in the game.

Either way, since I have round 2 actions from everyone else at this point, I plan to move this one again by tomorrow (NPCing Kythaela as needed).

She's a player in my Vampire game and I haven't heard from her in a while. I sent a PM Tuesday morning but heard nothing back. She has been online here though. I checked before sending the PM and she was last online Saturday. I checked again today and last activity was Tuesday night.

I'm going to simply ghost Kythaela for time being due to a lack of response.

The game can easily continue with just four characters. I can also easily add the druid back into the mix if SeaSaltSong does return.

What exactly are we adding to our sheets? Preserved boar meat?

Actually, while I don't think it's exactly what was planned, let's just have everyone add 1 ration to their sheets. That should suffice for tracking purposes.

I have a bunch of stuff to do around the house today, but I will try to update this one later today.

In the meantime, three things:
  1. I want to switch to a different type of token on the maps. Can you please pick an image for your character and post it in the 'Session 0' topic?
  2. I think, going forward, I want to try re-rolling initiative each round. In addition to the requested "as needed" roll, please also include a new initiative roll each round; -- disregard
  3. I also want to switch from tracking XP to milestone progression.

The issue I have with rerolling initiative each round is it can really mess with spells and effects. A lot of things last until the character's next turn. That could lead to something lasting much longer, or ending really quickly. Say Character A uses an ability that imposes advantage on attacks against Enemy B until the end of Character A's next turn. If Character A rolled high on first initiative and low on the second, other characters may get multiple attacks against Enemy B. If the first roll was low enough and the second high enough, it's possible nobody may actually get the chance to attack Enemy B.

That's a really good point -- one which I was not considering.

Let's disregard that initiative piece.

Probably. Sure, why not.

Actually, speaking of spells, I think Tova can still prepare two different 1st-level spells.
