The rules of the game are fairly simple, in principle...

Certain actions the players may wish their characters to take are described as “moves”, and require following the instructions outlined in the rules (see move handout, above) when carried out. Generally, these moves require a trigger (such as “When you dodge, parry or block harm”) and involve rolling 2d10 plus a modifier (for “Avoid Harm”, this is reflexes) and consulting a result chart for that move to determine the outcome.

Moves are the basic mechanic, and will be activated frequently in play.

All actions taken by NPCs happen as described, without rolling. The GM has moves as well, but these do not involve dice rolling. These moves often result in challenges, obstacles or consequences in the story, which the PCs must respond to.

Dice Rolling

To roll dice, you should log into unseenservant.com and create an account.

Create a character, using campaign ID 812. This is just a means to link your rolls to our campaign, not re as lly creating a "character".

Roll dice by going to the "roll dice" tab, selecting your character, and typing in something like:
[2d10+2]
(All game rolls are 2d10 plus a Modifier, which is generally a stat, maybe with a bonus or penalty)

Along with the results of the roll the will be a "pbp forum code"... you can copy and paste that into a post here so we can see it, like this:

Test roll [2d10+2] = 7+2 = 9
