North of Hagalton; 322D-328D/81 (Morning)
Outfitted and anxious for adventure, Syrus leads your camelid train north out of Hagalton.
Laden with supplies, you ride the beasts of burden as they plod along the Upward Route leading towards the Palakan Mountains.
For three days you trek north, watching mountains rise in the distance to the west of your road. The journey is uneventful save two groups of travelers heading south to Hagalton.
On day four, you leave the route and turn west, heading directly into the shallow mountains. The land begins to gently incline, and larger rock outcroppings populate the land out to the horizon. The prevalence of scrub brush is denser here than any regions you have traveled on the Long Route.
Just before noon on the sixth day, those who are scouting the flanks spot a dust cloud to the south, rising out of a concealed draw or canyon. The scout on the southern flank calms their camel and listens for sounds carried on the wind, but the disturbance is too far way.
The main group is 1000 yards from the scout position, to the north.
OOC: Everyone roll 1d100 for their character. Lowest number is the southern scout who spots the disturbance.
I’m away on business through this Thursday. I can retcon supplies your character would have purchased/been supplied with by Syrus.
