I see some equipment, but there's a bit more you get as a fighter, and you get some as a result of your soldier background, too.

added fighter equipment and solider equipment (i think!)

Alright... the next question I want to know for your character is where was he a soldier? What rank did he achieve? There are a bunch of dwarves in this game, and dwarves might have a toe in the underdark. Did you see action?
