Re: 05. Journey to O'Hare
Strom wakes and takes a few minutes to complete his morning prayers. Once completed he carefully check his armor and makes whatever repairs he can, with the tools he has, in the areas that were damaged in the earlier fight. Any major damage he notes for when he can procure the service of an armorer.
He then re-equips himself and packs up all of his gear for traveling.

The halfling's study time is short. He rememorizes the one spent cantrip, leaving alot of time to go over the last days activities.
Find an adventuring group. He draws a line thru the words on a back page of his book.
Kill in battle. He draws another line through the list.
Sleep in a roadhouse. He scratches off a third.
Shannigans looks at the next line and closes the book quickly.
OOC : steal something of value.

"Let's see if Gustov is in more of a talkative mood this morning. Maybe ask about any recent incursions from our orc friends? If this town has some arrows for sale - I'd be interested in that as well..."
Re: 05. Journey to O'Hare
"Aye, same for me. Shall we start off with breakfast downstairs?"
Dragon foot. Bamboo pole. Little mouse. Tiny boy.
Re: 05. Journey to O'Hare
Ewell starts to wake up at the sound of breakfast. The lack of sleep slows his senses for a minute or two as he fully awakens. Aye. Food and adventure it is. I would like to find a suitable pole before heading out o' town, if they have 'em.

Re: 05. Journey to O'Hare
Each member in the party makes their necessary morning preparations in their respective rooms. The entire group reconvenes in the hallway outside their rooms, however, before heading back down to the lower level together.
The large common room is empty when you first reach this main level, but Gustov seems to have heard the group descending as he emerges from the door in the far corner of the room, opposite the kitchen. "You slept well, no?" he asks, as he attempts to rub the tiredness from his eyes. He glances at the kitchen, which is shuttered up and appears unoccupied. "Guillaume must not be awake yet," he says matter-of-factly. "Please. You make yourselves comfortable; I see what I can get for you." With that, he disappears into the kitchen as he temporarily leaves the group alone, allowing you to settle back into the larger table you occupied the previous night.
Gustov returns a moment later armed with a dozen or so simple rolls and a block of butter. "Me sorry," he says, "is all I could find." He sits down at an empty seat at your table.
"You forgive if I already ask, but what brings you to O'Hare?" Before anyone can respond, he follows with another question: "What are your plans or the day?"

Re: 05. Journey to O'Hare
Gustov replies to some of the earlier responses he hears: "Aye, there be a village store just east of here." he starts, turning and pointing in its general direction. I imagine he have most simple items yer lookin' for."
He turns to Epsilon, "But you won't find much in the way of magic. Not 'round here."

Ewell nods his appreciation, "Thank you. Then he begins to test the innkeeper a bit.I must admit, your rooms are a bit on the dark side. I am used to sleeping with the sky in sight and fresh air around. You may want to think about installing some windows if you get the chance.

Garth comes down and takes a seat, chewing on a roll slathered with butter. He avoids the conversation, but does note the mild change in demeanor of their host.

Re: 05. Journey to O'Hare
Strom takes a seat and begins breaking his fast. To Gustav he asks Is there a Church or Temple in town?
Breakfast with Gustov
"Mr. Gustov, there is magic everywhere. It is part of the world itself." Gustov tilts his head slightly, considering Epsilon's statement, when Strom asks: "Is there a church or temple in town?" Gustov perks up. "A temple, you say?" The innkeeper shifts his ample body to face the warrior. "Why yes, good sir, we do have a temple. A majestic one, at that. 'Tis the large building on the far side of town. Perhaps you noticed it when you arrived?" (ooc: It is the "larger structure" mentioned here.)
The demeanor of the host quickly turns more defensive when he hears Ewell issue the following comment "I must admit, your rooms are a bit on the dark side. I am used to sleeping with the sky in sight and fresh air around. You may want to think about installing some windows if you get the chance."
"You find the room unacceptable?" he starts, beginning to rise from the table. "You'll notice, there are windows all along the Inn, including where the rooms are. The extra wall is fer yer own protection." Now almost to his feet, he mumbles something about trying to find Guillaume and ambles off.

Ewell looks around and softly asks the group, "Our protection? I wonder what that means?

Gwillt stares at the rolls and block of butter incredulously.
"Bread? ... and butter?"he says, after a moment, with a hint of anger in his voice. "Are we paying customers with silver coin?" he calls out to the retreating Gustov, "or prisoners, to be kept in the dark and watched, friend Gustav?"
