As I just got done explaining to another player via PM, this is really not me coming back to 2e. I'm playing to the audience here a bit, and of the AD&D editions, I find 2e to be the one I most agree with... but I am absolutely a 5e convert now.

In fact, and this will hopefully not diminish anyone's interest in this game that is about to start, but I have been also finding and saving information about how to convert what I'm about to run here in this game into 5e. So, this game, in a way, is a bit of a trial run. Assuming it works out (which I fully expect it will), I can see myself running it again in 5e at some point. (I also realize that this is a fairly massive campaign, that can run for years, so running it again probably won't happen for a very long time... and I also have a lot of other 5e adventures I'm itching to try out.)

Anyway, if you are interested in joining a 5e game, the group was interested in replacing one of the original guys after that player dropped off the board, so I'm sure there'd be no objection to getting you worked in. Feel free to take a look and let me know. I have all the rules, and they're all shared with everyone in the campaign, so the only thing you'd need would be an interest; everything else can/will be provided.
