Hello to you all

#1 Post by scottjen »

Like probably a lot of you, I played D&D in the 80s. Remember my older brother starting us off in Basic but I was pretty young. We shifted to AD&D (1E) and that is what I really remember. Was a player, and then a DM until about 16. We played a lot although there was a lot of rules we didn't use or change, and everything was home-brew (no modules). Got back into DMing a few years ago when my kids got interested in playing after I bought a used MM for my oldest who I thought would just like the pictures & write-ups. I had lost all my old books, character sheets, dungeons, etc in a house fire. Once the kids decided they wanted to play I bought the PH, DMG, MM2, UA, etc. Really got into it myself re-reading the rule books. Created a campaign world for them & included some modules as well.

I'm looking forward to playing right now, but may eventually do some DM as well.

Welcome Scott!
You have a story and game preferences that fit right in here!!

As you may have noticed we have a two post moderation policy to keep ahead of spammers - both real and bot-ish. After two approved posts you are a full member and good to go!

Unseen Servant is reknown for its friendly and supportive members, as you will soon see.

Be well and happy gaming!

This is a game about killing things and taking their stuff so you can become more powerful in order to kill bigger things and take even better stuff.
Alethan: I'm good with NOT pressing our luck this time.
mjulius: That's how I know I'm home.
Pulpatoon: The whole point of PbP is to take the scheduling pressure off the game. We're just chatty because we're so eager!
Scott308: ...everyone should be reminded of just how wonderful the people they play games with here can be in real life.
Leitz: Quality and quantity wise, I think US is the best I've seen.
Paladin: I can promise terror, glory, and riches...or a quick and brutal death.
Inferno: Come on! That's was Vicar's Head, a completely different doomed village!
Rex: I can move to the wait list to let someone else into the game.

This.

Welcome, Scott. I have little doubt you'll be able to find some Basic D&D or 1e goodness here.

Enjoy!

Hey, don't paint me with that brush, Ron! We're not all friendly and supportive. :x

Too many Scotts here- I shall call you Kevin instead.

You kids, stay off my lawn!

Nah, just kidding. Welcome aboard Kevin Scott!
Sometimes this summer I will most likely be participating in another 24 hour game of Dungeons & Dragons as part of Extra Life. This organization uses gaming to help raise money to donate to children's hospitals. I'm raising money for Marshfield Children's Hospital in Marshfield, WI, and all money I raise will go to that hospital. All donations are tax-deductible. Please take a moment to check out my donation page below. Thank you.
