Seven "To hell with this." said while taking aim and firing his shotgun at the ghouls [1d20] = 7

Re: Chapter 2 (GreyWolfVT, sulldawga)
One more ghoul goes down, but just barely. (a roll of 5 or more with the shotgun will suffice, given its wide spread)
The makeshift chokepoint is about to break, the filing cabinet falling backward and away from one the entrance. After the next attack, two ghouls will be able to slip through at once. Make your shots count

Re: Chapter 2 (GreyWolfVT, sulldawga)
2 remaining ghouls survive the showering of shotgun bursts. They break through the makeshift choke point and lurch towards each of you.
Roll a d20 to dodge! (or however you want to handle the situation)
I'm back from the Winter break and will be posting more often, hopefully. Thanks for your patience. I don't know about you guys, but I'm eager to get this story rolling again!

Re: Chapter 2 (GreyWolfVT, sulldawga)
Zeke holds his ground and attempts to bash the closest ghoul with the butt of his shotgun.
shotgun bash [1d20] = 8
shotgun bash [1d20] = 8
Re: Chapter 2 (GreyWolfVT, sulldawga)
Seven dodges his charging ghoul, take a sidestep and fires his shotgun point blank, all with the grace professional. The ghoul lies limp on the ground, no longer twitching.
Zeke takes the blow head on but bashes the ghoul to the ground before its claws and teeth can reach him. The ghoul staggers across the floor, trying to frantically pick itself back up. Its guard is down and a quick shot from a gun will finish it. (10 or more will do the trick)

Seven reloads if needed having lost count and fires at Zeke's ghoul [1d20] = 16

Re: Chapter 2 (GreyWolfVT, sulldawga)
Zeke attempts to slow his breathing to a reasonable level and looks around to see if anything else is headed toward them after all that racket. He reloads his shotgun while doing so.
Assuming nothing shows up, he shrugs, smiles at Seven, and heads back into the room to give it a more thorough search.

Re: Chapter 2 (GreyWolfVT, sulldawga)
As Zeke slows his breathing and listens for any new activity, he detects the tell-tale sounds of ghoul movement in the rooms and halls you ignored. The sounds woke some up, but you don't hear running. The area seems secure for the immediate time being.
With Seven taking care of the last ghoul in the main lab, you two are free to explore the interior.
The lab is expansive, covering 100's of feet in many directions. This is where a lot of old pre-war experiments and projects went down, you get that sort of feeling. The room is dotted with green vats that actually still hold its occupants, trapped in a floating state of deep sleep. Operating tables and chemical injections machines add to the feel of a mad scientist's lair. With a power armor work-station and massive walls of computers, you can't help but wonder what exactly was going on down here...

Re: Chapter 2 (GreyWolfVT, sulldawga)
Seven walks over to one of the stasis chambers and looks for a release "What do you think Zeke should we try and free some of these occupants? Might get some idea of what happened here if we can talk to one of em." he asks as he makes sure his shotgun is reloaded fully once more hearing ghouls off in the distance.

Re: Chapter 2 (GreyWolfVT, sulldawga)
Zeke says, I wouldn't want to free them unless I knew what I was doing. And, chances are they're some poor saps who didn't know what they were getting into. Better to find the scientists who were running these experiments [here Zeke motions toward a dead ghoul] but they ain't talking.
Still, if it were me, I'd want someone to free me so...
Zeke examines the computers to see if he can tell how to operate them. But he can't make heads nor tails of them.
operating the vat experiment computers [1d20] = 6

Re: Chapter 2 (GreyWolfVT, sulldawga)
Upon closer inspection of the vats, you notice that the occupants inside are humanoid in shape. Whoever they were, they were human at one point, but something happened and now they look more like ghouls.
The controls at the computer terminal have a simple keyboard input, but Zeke is not able to get far since a password is needed to get in. Perhaps a bit of computer hacking could bypass it...

Re: Chapter 2 (GreyWolfVT, sulldawga)
Seven upon realizing the things inside the tubes are ghouls decides it is best left alone "Well appears good luck we can't open these the damned things are ghouls not humans in these things."

Re: Chapter 2 (GreyWolfVT, sulldawga)
Zeke does a sweep of the room to see if they've missed anything valuable.
He's primarily looking for power armor components but also any items that would enable him to upgrade his armor and/or weapons.
Lastly, anything small, easily portable, and valuable.
sweeping the ghoul vat room [1d20] = 20
Boom goes the dynamite!

With a 20, you can dictate what you find in the room.
Though... depending on what you choose, there may be a catch.

Re: Chapter 2 (GreyWolfVT, sulldawga)
Is that what I think it is? says Zeke. He moves some equipment around, pushes some boxes aside, and audibly gasps.
It's a Power Armor frame, he whispers. I thought I'd never find one.
Zeke turns to Seven and smiles.
I mean, I still need a Fusion Core to power it but now I can actually wear some of these pieces once I find them!
