What would the chances be for Mouser to throw a flask of oil and for Urdur to use his torch to light up the back row?

Hi Raven,
There is no longer a back row. So this would be throwing a missile into a melee. Still, desperate times. If you hit a friend with oil, you just don't set it alight.
Throwing holy water might be an idea too. If you hit a friend, it won't hurt them and might even wash off some mud.

Hey guys,
I'm going away for the holidays and will be offline until Monday 1/8.
In ancient times, the winter solstice was observed by many as a festival of death when evil spirits returned from Hell to haunt the longest night.
Best wishes to you and yours.

Sweet. I missed it.
You’ll all be super interested to know that tomorrow I start in a face to face game where I’ll be playing Telkis’ counterpart, Thim (pronounced Thim, not Tim) the Dwarf who went to the Gnome village in the exchange. He’s a well-meaning, very, very dumb paladin of Ulaa, Goddess of the Mountain. I have a feeling his experience will be a bit less bleak...

Condolences on having to suffer those cheery, unbleak pastures!
A dwarf who acts like a gnome. Wish I could see that. Have fun, Pixie!

Apologies for my extended absence, everyone. I took the wife on a short trip for her birthday and am having trouble tracking down a decent connection here.

Well, he's not in a hole in a swamp, yet, he's saving kidnapped orphans, so it's way less bleak so far...Inferno wrote:Condolences on having to suffer those cheery, unbleak pastures!

Hey, can I change Grothnak's action slightly? The voices in the mirror are asking to see a face. There's no reason Grothnak needs to look at the mirror to satisfy that request—he can do it with his eyes closed.
So if I can, I'd like to edit his action to have him show his face to the mirror with his eyes closed.

Telkis wouldn’t mind either the shield, the arrows or the potion of speed or heroism. Anyone else have their eye on any one of those specifically?

Hi Socratic,SocraticLawyer wrote:Urdur takes the ring, bracers, illusionist scroll case, and potion of healing. Character sheet updated. He uses his new ring to determine whether the flask with the fiery orange solvent is magical. He makes a mental note to add the spells on the scroll to his spellbook when he has the time.
I have no house rule that allows for spell books to be used like scrolls. Scrolls are single-use magical items that trigger a spell effect. Spellbooks are tomes of arcane formulae that enable repeated memorization of spells. "Dispel Magic" will erase a scroll, but not a spellbook.
Also, the fiery orange solvent does flicker with cyan light. See below for more on that...
