The last corridor has a similar setup as the last, but the door that should have been locked was a pried open, or is it torn? You can't tell for sure, but it looked like something broke out of the room and was strong enough to create a hole. Through the hole, you see a testing facility of some sort, a laboratory much larger than the others you've found so far. A portion of the room appears dedicated to machine maintenance and is that... yes, its a power armor workstation, minus the power armor.

Seven turns to Zeke "Well it appears as if your power armor wont be so easily located here either."

Zeke replies, On the contrary, my friend, the existence of a power armor workstation practically requires the existence of power armor. I am very excited. This may have to be our new base of operations, assuming we can handle the vermin problem.

Zeke cautiously enters the room and sweeps around with his shotgun, making sure there are no ghouls or other dangers lurking.

Once the room is clear, he searches the room for items of value, obviously hoping, first and foremost, to find any power armor segments.

Seven found something alright, though it wasn't the 'loot' he was looking for. A laser tripwire was hidden near the door's entrance. Seven just tripped it and set off a Tesla arc mine located on the ceiling. Bolts of electricity arc through the air hitting random points on the ground and walls. Roll a d20 to dodge the trap's zaps!

The crackling of the Tesla arc mine woke up the inhabitants of the lab. Ghouls start to moan and rise from the previously slump positions. [1d20] = 8 are in the lab at the moment.

Zeke heads for the door. On his way there, he's looking for something big enough to block the hole at least partially so only one ghoul at a time can come through.

Time to go, Seven! We'll use this as a chokepoint and cut 'em down from outside.

Seven manages to dodge the arcing zaps of electricity. Zeke, anticipating some action, finds a loose filing cabinet that he can move around, blocking a portion of the entrance into the lab. A chokepoint has effectively been made.

Zeke moves outside the room, waiting for Seven to get back. Once Seven is in the hallway, Zeke will fire at the closest ghoul who pursues the pair.

Seven, you may want to watch our back in case the noise wakes up any other ghouls.

You know how you aim for the torso and pre-aim your shots accordingly? Well, those initial shotgun bursts would have worked normally, but the feral ghoul lurched forward too quickly, stumbling to the ground near your feet in a spastic, and highly erratic manner.

Zeke, roll to avoid getting hit in the shins.

As the tesla arc trap finishes dying off, its remaining stray bolts of electricity rain down upon the ghouls now clustered at the door. You can smell the frying of decayed flash. Not the most pleasant of smells...

The mass of ghouls still moves, not having been stopped by the jolts, but are now slower considering the tight chokepoint they are trying to maneuver through.

Now... realistically, a shotgun burst from up close should have nailed the sucker, and from two different guns at that. But I had to take into account those rolls, so yeah. Sorry guys.

The immediate danger has been cleared, thanks to Seven's quick draw of the gun but the growls of ghouls just ahead snaps you back to the next pressing concern.

One more ghoul goes down, and Zeke's shot goes astray, hitting the filing cabinet instead. The ghoul pile up behind the chokepoint appears to be doing structural damage to the entrance. Their claws and shoulder bashing making dents in the metal, shaking the filing cabinet violently with each bash. You wager it might hold up for a couple more shotgun bursts before they widen the gap.

2 down, 6 remaining
