Chapter 2 (GreyWolfVT, sulldawga)
Re: Chapter 2 (GreyWolfVT, sulldawga)
Zeke manually locks the doors to all of the rooms where ghouls are lurking, and then marks those rooms on their map. He then marks down the codes to open the doors once they get in the vault.
Turning to Seven, he says, Well, at least we know the ghouls will stay put now and we can deal with them one at a time... unless some got in the hallways, I guess. You ready to take out some ghouls and loot a Vault?

Re: Chapter 2 (GreyWolfVT, sulldawga)
Seven lets out a deep sigh "Ghouls always with the ghouls, lets go find some raiders again that was more fun. But if you insist yes lets kill some ghouls and raid a vault."

You know me, man, replies Zeke. Vaults mean pre-war tech, and pre-war tech means Power Armor!

Seven chuckles "You mean you hope. So far this hunt of yours hasn't totally panned out. Otherwise we'd both have power armor right now."

Zeke grabs the one intact hazmat suit, double checks that his shotgun is loaded full of shells, and boards the elevator for the ride down into the Vault.

There's only one intact Hazmat suit but you can have it.

With the quarantine lock disabled, the elevator hums to life and opens its doors for you. The button panel shows two buttons, level B1 and 1. Based on the footage you saw and the installation's plans, found on the security computers, the vault facility is 3 levels deep, the elevator only takes you to the first floor underground.
[1d20] = 5
As the elevator descends down, you feel a violent lurch. The small elevator compartment that you are riding stops suddenly, it jerks back to life to the sound of screeching metal against metal, there is a sudden drop, then you stop again, just as suddenly. The lights flicker off, then a set of emergency lights kick on. Everything is still and quiet. For now.
Actions?

Zeke pops open the control panel behind the buttons and attempts to manually re-initiate descent.

Re: Chapter 2 (GreyWolfVT, sulldawga)
Zeke's knowledge in repairing old world tech comes in handy as he knows exactly how to get this elevator running again.
After a few more shudders and jerks, the elevator finally finishes its descent and opens its door the first vault floor underground. The sound of the elevator doors opening causes a stir in the corridor just ahead. You can hear the sound of movement.

Re: Chapter 2 (GreyWolfVT, sulldawga)
Zeke flattens his body on the side of the elevator, hiding from view.
He whispers to Seven, If they don't see us, they might go away. Otherwise, we hit 'em hard, and push the 'up' button if they're too strong. What do you think?

Re: Chapter 2 (GreyWolfVT, sulldawga)
Seven holds a finger to his lips in the standard hush motion and tries to slip to the side of the elevator out of sight as best he can.

Re: Chapter 2 (GreyWolfVT, sulldawga)
Seven's sudden rush to the side of the elevator created more sound than he would have liked.
The rush of approaching footsteps echoing down the hall suddenly go silent, the sort of silence that occurs when a wild creature stops what it is doing to listen more closely to a new development. After what feels like the longest few seconds, the silence is broken with a high-pitched ghoul shriek, then a stampeding sound. Your Pip-Boys' Geiger counters start to click.

Zeke peeks around the corner and counts ghouls. If he sees more than four, he pushes the "up" button on the elevator.
Otherwise, he opens fire with his shotgun.

1d20???
That is lucky, I guess, but even four will be tough.

Seven counts the blips on his pip boy map and fires out of the elevator with his shotgun as well.

[1d20] = 2 Enemy fails to dodge.
[1d4] = 1 One ghoul goes down with the shotgun burst.
The other three climb over the fallen ghoul and continue their mad dash.
