Re: Part 10 - The Temple Again
Nothing is heard and the doors are opened. No one is in these rooms.
(Room c): The western side room is furnished similarly to the main room. It contains a large bed, two small side tables, a round table with four chairs, a stand with basin, ewer, and a small copper box, a wardrobe, and a brass brazier filled with brightly glowing coals and giving off wisps of sulphurous-smelling incense. A large brass chest with a heavy lock is at the foot of the bed.
(Room d): This eastern side room is 10'x 20' and less lavishly furnished. It has a few tapestries and several small rugs, torches burning in wall sconces, a small table with a candelabra, a couch, two chairs, a chest, and a brazier. A book lies open on a small stand near the couch. A few serving pieces of brass and copper are scattered around, on the table and stand.
And for completeness (Room a): This 10' square room is plastered but otherwise unadorned. It is lit by a lantern and a burning torch, the latter on the east wall. The room contains a couch, writing table and chair, small brazier, and a brass-bound chest; on the table are quills, an inkpot, and a roll of parchment.
Calmert heals Heal [1d6+1] = 4+1 = 5 Calthas.

Thurwin - Wizard
Thurwin keeps watch as the others search the rooms. Seeing nothing of particular interest in the haul, he examines the ring (magical?) that the other cleric had in his possession. He also calls attention to the scroll tube that was on the cleric, handing it off to Calmert for further examination. Thurwin scowls at the obscene decor of the room. He says "Before we leave, we need to desecrate this monument of evil. I will not tolerate it's continued existence." He'll look for things to deface the decor with...
OOC: all this armor could be useful to upgrade our gang with. ALSO - I updated the spoils thread. I didn't include the cloaks...

Re: Part 10 - The Temple Again
"Well, I suppose this is me again," says Odo. He inspects each chest for traps. If he finds no trap on the locked chest, he attempts to pick the lock.
Room c: Find Traps (1-52=success): [1d100] = 50
Room d: Find Traps (1-52=success): [1d100] = 17
Room a: Find Traps (1-52=success): [1d100] = 13
Pick Locks (1-32=success): [1d100] = 24

Re: Part 10 - The Temple Again
Odo finds no traps. The locked chest pops open at his deft hands.
In room c, the chest holds clothing, a suit of normal chain mail armor, a normal mace, and a sack containing 100 gp.
The other unlocked chest (room a) holds clothing, a small silver box (worth 75 gp) containing 20 pp and a jeweled ring (worth 500 gp), and a bone scrollcase which holds a scroll of Ward against Elementals.
The locked chest (room a) holds garments, a potion of some dark red viscous liquid, and a leather bag containing 37 gp and 19 ep.
The ring Thurwin examines is definitely magical. He would need to wear it to discover its effects.
The scroll he hands to Calmert contains three spells of a clerical nature: dispel magic, flame strike, tongues.

"Well, that is quite a nice set of baubles," says Odo. He waits while others investigate their loot.
"This would make a comfortable place to rest, when we need it. Yes, it is a bit macabre, but if you don't mind the smell of sulfer it's quite...plush, really."

Thurwin - Wizard
Thurwin places the ring on his finger, curious as to it's properties. Thurwin grimaces at the decor of the room, but nods at Odo's words. "Yes. This would be a comfortable place to rest, although it might draw unwanted attention." Looking about, Thurwin says "Before we get too comfortable, we should scout the area to make sure this is all of the inhabitants, lest they come to avenge their fallen."
OOC: I'm about out of spells, whatever we decide to do... we could poke our heads to the south of room 205 to see if anything is down there, but I'm fine with whatever the party agrees to do...

Re: Part 10 - The Temple Again
Calthas thanks Calmert. "We could use some rest, especially our spell casters, before engaging with more of the horrors in these tunnels. I suggest we find a quiet place to rest a little." he says, after having overlooked the party's findings, and decided he wanted none of them.

Effric takes a sip of the red potion to see what effects it might have. "A rest sounds good," he says.

Re: Part 10 - The Temple Again
"Damn druid!" exclaims Calthas "I wasn't talking about that kind of rest!". The elven warrior stands a few seconds looking at the corpse of his companion, the time for his anger to disappear. He suddenly reaches for his backpack and brings out his two healing potions and vials of holy water. "Isn't there anything we can do with that?" he asks to the spell casters, especially Calmert.
