The young lady gives you a questioning eye, clearly not recognizing you. Not breaking eye contact, she leans backward and shouts towards the back of the house. "Hey SweetCheeks, one of your boys is here!"

It doesn't take long for you to hear the rush of footsteps speeding down a staircase.

"Goddamnit, you guys! How many times have I told you not to use the front door? You call first using the special phone, that's how we do things. You want the heat on our asses again?!" Larry rushes up to the door, clearly ticked off at what he thinks are some of his men. He looks warily out the window, quickly opening and closing the blinds. "You weren't followed, were you?"
Even a child that receives one bit of praise has the ability to excel in a single talent, and those who receive regular encouragement can feel confidence, achieve success, and become leading members of society. Because they don’t believe they are worthless, they don’t need to raise a fist and have vengeance against fate or the world at large… ~Inspector Lunge

"Of course I wasn't followed, what do you think I am, an idiot. He didn't tell me to use the back door, all he said was to get over here, pick you up, and get over to Clancy Street as quick as we could. I don't question the man, I just do what he says, so hurry up before we piss him off. If he questions that fact that I am in standard ACP dress, which I just re-realized, I will explain it away as 'How else am I supposed to blend in with them?'

Fast Talk (TN:14) [3d6] = 10
If 'Clancy Street' doesn't seem appropriate, I will pick a location I think Hot Streak might pick as a target, based on what I know of him, even if he is not the 'brains' behind these attacks: Psychology/Criminology Check (TN: 14) [3d6] = 10

Larry sighs heavily and rubs the back of his neck. It looks like he doesn't like this line of work, its written all over his face. "Alright, alright, geezus. Vorp is working us like hounds today, but I guess it can't be helped. For a better future, right?" He turns around to get his gear ready, but then stops and says to you quickly, an afterthought. "Ditch the uniform, you know how it unnerves the other boys. I'll meet you out back."

Jimmy hustles around to the rear, hoping to get there before Larry. Laying out his plans through thought to SCAMP for sharing with Lucky, he thinks, "I'm going to try to convince this guy to get in your van, since it has enough room. If I can get him over there, or if he makes us bring the van around back, I'll jump in the back first, then when he comes in I'm gonna try to surprise him and get my cuffs on him. Will need your help holding him after that SCAMP, so Lucky can drive us the hell out of here where we can then get some information."

Once he gets that information out, he'll relax at the back door somewhat and give Lucky an under the breath, "Patience, my friend.", while he tries to figure out who Vorp might be, based on Larry's known associates, Hot Shot's, or the other perp's.

Larry exits the back door, a duffle bag in hand. He's dressed differently, no doubt one of his disguises when going to that part of town.

He hops into the van and asks Jimmy, "So, this just a meeting, or does he actually want us to cause another distraction? Haven't heard of any other targets." Larry then looks around and notices Lucky's van too. "We going to bring the whole crew?" Must be a meeting he mutters to himself. He pats his pockets and sighs. "Damn, I need to go back to get my wallet. My turn to buy the pizza."

"Lucky, why don't you hurry and go pull your van around back here.", Jimmy asks. In the meantime, Jimmy will interpose himself between the back door and Larry's van. When Larry re-exits, Jimmy will 'fill him in', "The boss said we had to take the other van. When I asked him why, he told me to just shut up and do as I was told, so I got the hell out of there quick."

If/when we get Larry to enter Lucky's van, we'll spring the ambush on him I described before so I can get him cuffed in Lucky's van.

Larry buys the story and hops in, not asking any questions. In order to cuff him successfully and pin him down, I will need you to roll against your Fast Draw skill, the pistol one will do. Once you succeed in cuffing him, a roll in interrogation will give you the info you need.

Drawing his handcuffs as he follows Larry into the back of Lucky's van, Jimmy tries to get the drop on the ruffian. Retrieving his handcuffs faster than the big man can react, he quickly snaps them into place. Pushing the big man to the wall as he reaches back and slams the door shut, Jimmy tells Lucky, "Head up the street and make a right." At the same time, Jimmy thinks to SCAMP, "Mind mentally asking Lucky to head to the Lowell district police station?"

Turning his gaze upon the perp, Jimmy starts interrogating the prisoner. "OK Larry, you're a smart guy, and you've probably figured out we're not as we seem. You see, there's a certain somebody that has gotten too big for their britches. Our bosses", he continues while touching the side of his own nose with an index finger, " are not pleased in the least. Surely you know that permission must be granted for any significant crime in the city, and you're 'boss'", Jimmy intones with a wrinkle of his nose in distaste as he emphasizes the word boss, " must be an idiot to think he was exempt. Now, you have two choices here. One! You can come clean and tell us what you know about your bosses location as well as his operation. Or two! We can visit the docks, where I guarantee you will still give us the information, though you will not 'enjoy' it as much. What will it be?"
Substitute the nearest police station that is at least 5 minutes away for Lowell.

Enemy Gurps skill roll [3d6] = 10 Jimmy succeeds in his interrogation by 4.

Larry smiles as Jimmy hammers down on him. He's been through this before, but he frowns towards the end, not seeing too many options before him. He speaks, but not enthusiastically.

"Vorp- no, Vorpal, he's only looking out for our best interests. Helped many of us out of bad situations, he did." He shakes his head. "You lawful types don't know even half of the story your bosses are feeding you. You are all being tricked, protecting the wrong people. But don't take my word for it, you can meet the guy yourself."

Larry tells you where the main HQ is located, but also warns that it is well defended. 'Best make an appointment first' he jokes. "And if you do go and try to wave your big stick of justice around, know that our boss hangs with some badass company, one of them is a bit on a 'hot streak' at the moment and has a short fuse. Be careful with that one, even our boys steer clear of him."

Scamp gives you the mental green light on this one. "He is not lying about the location, and I do not sense any deception in his thoughts."

Mentally, Jimmy continues the conversation with SCAMP and Lucky. "If just the three of us were to show up there, my guess is we wouldn't be heard from again. The file on Hot Streak, if that is who Larry is referring to, is one mean hombre."

Turning back to Larry, Jimmy asks,"OK smart guy, how do we get in to see the hot head without getting our own heads shot off?"

Within his mind, Jimmy collaborates with his allies in this endeavor, "How about we get what we can from this guy, go drop him at the precinct, and see if we can get some backup to go with us or at least check any video surveillance to check out what we might be getting into at the address this guy ponied up?"

Gurps Skill Roll [3d6] = 8
Enemy Gurps skill roll [3d6] = 10

Scamp gets the feeling that this Larry guy is going to play hard to get when it comes to a straight answer, so he takes the initiative to fish it out of him and make him speak his mind.

At first, Larry looks like he has a bad headache and looks around frantically for something. Then after a brief moment of this, he calms down and looks straight at Jimmy, speaking in a monotone voice. "Vorpal is Hot Streak's right-hand man. He is in charge of recruitment and management of the ground forces at their disposal. Vorp's always looking for more talent to add to his group, talent that has a beef with the police or supers of the world. The only way to get in though is to have a recommendation from a member of the group."

Continuing the planning through SCAMP's ability to share their thoughts, Jimmy offers, "If we want to infiltrate the group, I would still be a lot more comfortable if we at least informed my Captain at ACP. Being a detective, I'd hate to lose my job cause I ran off without doing so, since the department has been looking for this Hot Streak guy for awhile. SCAMP, what would you say the odds are that someone in this criminal organization would know that you were part of the ACP? You are pretty recognizable, and without you we don't have a way to keep this Larry guy focused on holding up a ruse to allow us to infiltrate."

Scamp's ears pull back and he whimpers. Something tells you that Scamp is pretty recognizable.
