The party takes advantage of the massive distraction. (Surprise doubles your score for the first round)
Eirenaios begins an invocation.
Craxzus swoops down on the large bat and rakes a claw across its back. (3 damage) The furry winged rat screeches and twirls into a dive, trying to escape the feathered fury.
Thorgrim shoots a blast of green energy from his crossbow and slams orc (#1 for 6 damage)
Throm also winds his arm back and lets his ax fly, driving deep into orc (#1 for 2 damage) causing the brute to fall face first into a lifeless heap.
Eirenaios casts a spell and a 9 foot wide ball of searing fire appears amidst some of the orcs. Their furs ignite and they run off the road away from the flames. (5 orcs take 3 damage)
The soldiers send a volley of arrows into the line of orcs as swordmen rush to the street.
The orcs scatter, some flee toward the fields, but others turn to return the favor.
(Surprise round over, Round 1 begins. Flames of the sun will last for 1 round per POW)

Throm repeats his attack with his enchanted axe. Throwing Axe (62%) [1d100] = 84 Damage [1d6] = 1
Dodge (78%) [1d100] = 62
noticed i hadn't updated macros to reflect current skill % for the weapons.

Eirenaios will leavethe flame ball forward, trying to maw down as many orcs as possible and preventing them from regrouping

The clash of many swords on armor simultaneously is almost as loud as the orcs collective surprise as the soldiers reach the road and engage. 3 orcs turn and race toward the party attacking from the rear as a few more scramble out of harms way and run away from the fray through the wheat fields.

Throm heaves his ax and Thorgrim fires a green bolt of magic at the advancing orcs but they are prepared and easily dodge the attacks.
"Come to me, runt!" growls one of the orcs in dwarvish as it charges into melee range.

Craxzus manages to rip the bats throat fifty feet above the battle. Heat from the fires lifts his hawk wings and he soars higher on the thermal waves, gripping his prey who changes back into an orc and plummets to the masses below.

It's obvious that the bulk of the orc host hasn't realized they are attacked from the rear as well.

Craxzus- Will fly to a location at the side battle to transfer into his elven form, so that he may use his other spells.

Craxzus flies to the side of the bank overlooking the road below. He assumes his humanoid form. He witnesses the soldiers cutting through the surprised orcs but the fell creatures are rallying after the ambush.
The mages fireball pulses and fades to ashes as he launches a sling bullet into the swarm of orcs. It bounces off a shield.
Throm let's his ax fly. It chops into a greasy skinned shoulder and boomerangs back to his hand.

A orc growls swinging a blade at Throm but his armor absorbs the blow!
Orc attack against Throm [1d100] = 16 Damage [1d8+1] = 6+1 = 7
Throms armor [1d8+2] = 5+2 = 7

Another orc swings at Thorgrim but is distracted by the ax flying by his head and misses the mark.
Orc attack against Thorgrim [1d100] = 86 Damage [1d8+1] = 3+1 = 4 Breastplate [1d8] = 7
Another orc will be within melee range next turn and an ogre a ways up the line has noticed the attack from the rear and let's out a howl heading your way!
