Enemy Gurps skill roll [3d6] = 9 Perception Check
Gurps Skill Roll [3d6] = 17 Stealth Check

Hot Streak super speeds down the right tunnel and finds more of the green ichnorite, as well as a large group of ichnorite monstrosities (enemies from before in the warehouse). He is fast and is able to get a head count, but the creatures notice him and give chase on his way back. The element of surprise is gone, but you know what you are dealing with now.

[3d6] = 13 Thirteen more creatures are heading your way.

Hot Streak will superspeed back close enough to the enemies and try to draw a small group of them back to Vorpal similarly to how they did the fight in the warehouse.

Fire Blast [3d6] = 12 attack [5d6] = 8 dmg

Hot Streak definitely got the attention of a few ichnorite creatures. They are on fire now and are giving chase. Their howls can be heard echoing through the tunnel. It's only a matter of seconds before the rest of the group follows.

(Each action, maneuver/turn is one second long.)

The explosive force of the fireball attacks, and the burning damage that comes after the effect, effectively eliminates all of the ichnorite monstrosities in the general area, long before any can reach Vorpal. On one of your return trips, you do hear the sound of blaster rifle fire from behind. Roll against dodge to see if any hit Hot Streak!

Monsieur, I am waiting to see what you wanted to do, continuing where we left off in the PM. Thanks!

A couple of stray blaster shots hit you in the back. The same kind of green glowing shots that you remembering seeing back on Symbiosis' island during your training in an abandoned hotel complex.

Enemy Gurps skill roll [3d6] = 10 Enemy hit is a success.

Blaster Rifle damage roll [6d6] = 23 The enemy dealt 23 damage.

With enhanced dodge, the score you had to match or get less than was bumped up from 9 to 10. You rolled a 14.... so you felt that one.

Roll against your HT. If you get a 13 or less you are not stunned or knocked down to the ground. If you fail, you are stunned. If you fail by more than 5 you are knocked out, rendered unconscious.

You only have one hit point left. Your Movement speed is reduced by half (in your case super speed is no longer invisible), and you have to roll a 5 or less now to dodge attacks.

On the bright side, your regeneration just kicked in, having taken a major wound. You will recover one hit point per second/turn.

You are on the ground now and will be stunned for 3 turns.

It is when you are on the ground and your regeneration kicks in that you see Vorpal vault over you and charge the mutant gunner behind you. Is there anything specific you wanted him to do, or will just a basic attack suffice?

I'm not going to bother you with the details of the battle other than to say that Vorpal thoroughly thrashed the mutant who shot you.

Not wanting to stick around here any longer, he hefts you over his shoulder and rushes back to the warehouse. By the time you reach the hatch in the ground, you are able to move around freely again, having regained a small portion of your health back. (You are at 4 hit points now, out of 24.)

Vorpal is pretty straightforward at this point, more so than usual. "I'm not going back down there. Symbiosis' rats can go and roast in hell once you raze this warehouse. You still wanted to do that, right?"

Hot Streak grim evil smile returning to his face "Yes I do wish to blow this place sky high my friend." the pyro explosives expert that he is sets to his work in the speed fashion rigging the building to burn, using some timed explosive devices that will cause the building to fall in on itself and burn for hours. The two will exit by the fastest means necessary the front door likely, and head off back to their hideout.

Normally the player would roll against a skill use but in this case, you forgot, so I did it for you. The roll to set up explosives and make sure it all worked as planned was a Demolitions skill check.

This was the result. You barely had enough explosives on hand to achieve the intended effect. Nothing is crawling out of there, and it will take some considerable time for anyone to get in and investigate, once the flames finally died down.

------

Back at your base, or current hiding spot, Vorpal shares with you something he found. Instead of letting the opportunity to go to waste, he snagged something before the warehouse collapsed, a mutant soldier's blaster rifle. "My boys do not have the firepower to deal with the likes of Symbiosis' monstrosities, but with this," he hefts the blaster rifle up, "we might be able to even the playing field. Know anyone who can make more of these?"

From what you can remember, the guns run off of ichnorite....

Hot Streak shakes his head "None come to mind immediately. Though I bet we can find someone that can. Rook industries is a good place to start. Unless there are any underground contacts that used to work for the place."

Vorpal just shrugs when Hot Streak looks to him for ideas. "You're a hell of a lot smarter than I, Blake. The only other people I know who are smarter are that Symbiosis freak and that Cowboy dude, but he went and pulled a Houdini on us."

Vorpal responds with a simple nod of the head and gives out orders to his men. A short while later, they begin in earnest.

How will you word your search, where do you submit your first ads?

Rolls that might be relevant to this sort of action would be
Streetwise: This is the skill of getting along in rough company. A successful Streetwise roll might let you learn (among other things) where any sort of illegal “action” is; which local cops or bureaucrats can be bought, and for how much; and how to contact the local underworld. Note that you might also be able to get this information by asking a Contact (p. 44). This skill is a measure of your ability to make new connections as needed.

Default: IQ-5

or
Area Knowledge: This skill represents familiarity with the people, places, and politics of a given region. You usually have Area Knowledge only for the area you consider your “home base,” whether that’s a single farm or a solar system. If information about other areas is available, the GM may allow you to learn additional Area Knowledge skills.

Defaults: IQ-4

I'd like to use both of those actually. Starting with streetwise first since we have many men all of the streets.

Streetwise Check against 10Gurps Skill Roll [3d6] = 10

It took a while, but eventually, one of Vorpal's men got a solid lead on a potential source. The person in question is a guy who works for Rook Industries.

Some info on the company:
Rook Industries, formerly owned by the Sanderson family, is a worldwide producer of technologies, much like Poseidon Electronics, its origins, however, lies within arms manufacturing for the military and public defense forces of the world. The company has branched out into production of robotic drones used for both military and civilian jobs, field suits commonly used by the ASF (Atlas Security Force), supers, and other private contractors, miscellaneous machinery used for factories and other high tech facilities, and just recently, the company has dived into the energy market, producing their own line of energy generators built off of a miraculous and very new substance, its origins in which are kept a company secret in the eyes of the public.
The contact is VERY interested in the described item of interest and would like to arrange a private meeting for further discussion.
