Chapter #2: Adventure 2: Nine Flawed Sapphires
Re: Chapter #2: Adventure 2: Nine Flawed Sapphires
Rahkeem ibn Hamad al-Qudra
Rahkeem frowned at Benham's ominous tones, but he just smiled at the Maid and after she spoke to Dubb he threw in; "Well, I for one will absolutely promise to do my best to see this job done. As for whether or not we'd prefer a guide or a map....would it be too much trouble to ask for both? If the guide should have something happen to him/her, hopefully Fate forbids; then we'd have a map to fall back on. If both aren't possible, I'd vote for the map to keep the risk to our group. What say you?" he asks both the maid and his companions....

Emma
Looks at Anuzal and leans in whispering, "Camels? Seriously? You have any idea how big those are? She already commented on how narrow the trail is... A set of good stout ponies would be better."

Maid looks at Anuzal "I never said six thousand I said six hundred gold. I just gave Your dwarf friend the 600 gold."

Dubb
"There is no need for concern miss. My friend here just misheard."Dubb jingles the pouch at Anuzal "Payment is secured my friend."
I think there was a typo. I wish it was 12 thousand.
"But Rahkeem is correct, a guide to the general area as well as a map would be most welcome."
Dubb then smiles for a moment "Ponies? Did I hear someone say ponies? I LOVE Ponies!"

Re: Chapter #2: Adventure 2: Nine Flawed Sapphires
Maid "Whatever steed you take just know if it is larger than a pony or mule it wont make it through the pass to where you are going, you will have to leave it when you reach the base of the pass." Holding out a scroll case that contains your map. "This is your map I've marked on it the trail and the rough area of where the complex is that contains the ledger, I can guilde you to where the trail starts but I will go no further than that."
due to the image quality in the pdf i can't tell what the trail name is on this map and in the wording of the adventure it never mentions it.

Dubb
Dubb will obtain a pony. It will be called Stepp. Did I mention Dubb likes ponies?
I think it's just Mule Trail

Jamal will send Alara off for a mount spell. [1d100] = 94 : [1d6+1] = 3+1 = 4 : [1d6+2] = 4+2 = 6
And again.
[1d100] = 91 : [1d6+1] = 4+1 = 5 : [1d6+2] = 6+2 = 8
And again [1d100] = 98 : [1d6+1] = 5+1 = 6 : [1d6+2] = 6+2 = 8
Finally he gives up, scowls at the air gen and stomps off to buy a pony.
He will send her off for an invisibility spell whilst he is busy.
[1d100] = 78 : [1d6+1] = 5+1 = 6 : [1d6+2] = 1+2 = 3 sigh
And again.

Asad the Lion looks confused at the groups intentions. "Fate has provided an opportunity for glory! Let us embark! We do not need waste one second on any four-legged beasts to travel a day to recover a book! Meat and Mead with our new found reward as we toast to our victory!!"

Benham Iskandar
I think we should be able to find the trail on our own. If the others agree, there is no reason for you to face any more danger than absolutely necessary. Now, I don't care if we buy mules or walk. If we walk, we do not need to deal with the mounts when they can go no further. We will also be able to avoid detection more easily. However, if we ride it will take half the time to get there, and we will be able get farther away in less time after we get the ledger. That could be important, although riders on horseback would be able to run us down anyway.

Maid replies to Benham "You shouldn't run into much trouble in getting there as the area is patrolled by the Army of Muluk. Though you are correct in needing a place to hide the mounts that could draw attention from any hireswords working for Yodfah."

Maid chimes in one more time "Though there is enough jungle vegetation that you might find plenty of places to hide the steeds from prying eyes."

Abrex Myzeen LN Faris: AC 0 : HP 14 : Thac0 19
Abrex goes with the others to find a mount and a little extra food/water for the mounts. While he doesn't weight a lot he is a bit taller than usual so he looks for the best mount to accommodate his frame.
"This looks like the biggest of ponies. I'll take it", states Abrex. "Perhaps some extra feed and water for the journey also please."
