Re: chapter 4- back to the wilderness
Travix looks to Silring for any reaction about the "job" that was mentioned.
"Sounds like we best take care no matter which direction we travel. I like the way you think though, Salty! Always pondering how to make an extra coin or three. Why don't you lead the way there then."

Re: chapter 4- back to the wilderness
Silring nods, well, I wish you luck then. Hennoth, go with them now so they won't be delayed leaving town after. And I can look after the little one here so he won't be in your way.
Travix does not notice any particular reaction to Salt Peter's words.
On to Applejack's?

Re: chapter 4- back to the wilderness
Salt Peter collects the mule and cart to return to Applejack. "Le's shove off, then."
Re: chapter 4- back to the wilderness
Tip:
Before parting, Tip turns to Silring, "Once again, we thank you for your kindness. Is there anything we might do for you along our travels?"

Re: chapter 4- back to the wilderness
Silring holds the halfling's hand in thanks. You are most welcome, Master Tip. My only request at this time is for you to bring yourselves and our Hennoth back safely. Hennoth goes to help lead the donkey and cart while the goblin grumbles and disappears behind a curtain to sulk.
--------------------
The sun is just rising above the treetops on this beautiful morning as you walk from Silring's to Applejack's docks and warehouses. As you come near you see Applejack seems harried and distracted, checking and rechecking two different lists in his hands. He stops to pull a wooden disk on a wooden chain from a vest pocket and glances at it before placing it back in the pocket. He looks up at your approach. Ah, I trust the supplies and beasts were satisfactory? Sister Lou, see to the cart and donkey, please. A tall, hulking, blond pig-tailed woman silently fetches the donkey and cart and leads them away. Will you still be wanting the hounds for the next leg of your journey?

Salt Peter: "Aye, ther hounds be fine, toothy beasts, an' we'd 'ave 'em fer awhile longer, if'n tha' suits ye.
"An' we be plottin' a course ter 'Iking Dogleg, an' thought what as ye might 'ave bizniz up thar'ways, as what we might do."

Travix steps forward.
Indeed. Also, what can you tell us of Drumlin and of this Hiking Dogleg? Is there anything that foreigners such as us should be wary of out that way?

Graela waits for the dogs and checks them over, making sure they are healthy and ready for another trip. "We need to pack some food for these scroungy mutts," she growls, ruffling their ears affectionately.
Winter is coming...
Re: chapter 4- back to the wilderness
Applejack taps his nose as he ponders the questions. Drumlin...hmm...was just a quiet little village in the shadow of the North Spine. Though these days people getting spooked more. People still living and doing business there though- odd that it has been spared so much considering the proximity. I have heard of some disappearances in that area. No one's sure what's going on though most blame it on the mountains. At least it's still on the map, unlike Cool Water.
Hiking Doglegg...well, it's a little more wild and wooly there. That's considered the frontier settlement to the nexus of whatever is going on in the mountains. Mind your manners there and be careful of making friends or enemies. Loden would be a good one to contact. He runs the Monkey Blood Tavern. He's no nonsense but he's fair.

Salt Peter: "An' be there ennythin' ye need done tharabouts? Deliveries an' suchlike?"
Re: chapter 4- back to the wilderness
The gnome shakes his head. Just take care o' the hounds, he offers before returning to his lists. Are we still on for the 12 o'clock?, he calls over his shoulder. He turns back to ponder your group a moment. If you see Loden you can tell him I said: the bucket is best in midstream. He casts a critical eye on each of you in turn. And don't make me regret vouching for you.

Travix
"Very good then, sir.
Let us be off before the morning grows any longer.
To the sausages!"

"The Monkey Blood?" Tip whispers silently at the ominous sounding establishment. He swallows audibly and looks up at the others, "Shall we be off?"
Re: chapter 4- back to the wilderness
Salt Peter to Applejack: "Much 'bliged."
To the party: "Whatyer say we shove off, then?"

Where do you want to head?
Drumlin is to the northeast --> please turn to page 27
Hiking Doglegg is to the northwest along the Dorseen River --> please turn to page 148

Re: chapter 4- back to the wilderness
I'm confused. Is that an "Endless Story Book" joke? Or do those page numbers actually mean something?
Since Travix still thinks we should be seeking out the bone king, I will let someone else decide where we will go next.

Re: chapter 4- back to the wilderness
Salt Peter: "Sawsagers first, work second, aye?"
To the dogs, "Hear that, ye salty rascals? D'ye wanner sawsage? D'ye? A tasty sawsage?"
Salt Peter turns his feet to the northeast.

Re: chapter 4- back to the wilderness
Travix smiles at the halflings wisdom, already expecting as much. He follows along in his proper place in the order.
"Lets try to remember to bring a pack or two of those meat tubes back with us. I'm sure that Silring and Mallet would like to try them as well."
The mage checks his gear and clothing to make sure he has everything with him that he will need for the trip.
"Perhaps if we find enough coin, we could purchase our own mounts when this mission is through? We could make much better time with some horses and ponies."
