Census of Faith
Census of Faith
For purposes which may or may not become clear, I need to perform a census of faith.
For each of your characters, please indicate name, deity worshiped, and type of faith (from the list below):
Non-believer
Skeptic
Lip-service
Casual
Observant
Pious
----------
Devout
Apostate
Heretic
Zealot
Below the line are usually, but not always, clerics.

Fingers McGraw
Beith-curious
It's not that he doesn't believe in the gods. He just doesn't see the point of worshiping them. None of them ever did him any favors.
Edit: Beith just brought his dog back from the dead. That's a pretty big favor.

Foxy O'Hare
'Mercy triumphs over justice', so says one of the proverbs. 'Blessed are the meek they shall inherit'...no they shall continually be downtrodden.
Foxy, for all her angst and 'wildcat' nature tries to be observant, certainly during festive seasons and holy days or when in need, like busting out of a prison cell again or recovering from a weekender hangover...
Euranna, bless me and all who sail with her.

Re: Census of Faith
'Blackjack' Amistad is a respecter of ''men of faiths' but prays to traditional ancestral spirits. He sees infernal and occultic influences as pagan and diabolical in persuasion. He is familiar with tribal shaman, druidic practices and withdoctors. Organised religion less so.
Re: Census of Faith
EvangelistBro Kellstrom
Kells is a zealous, sometimes a little over zealous, usually naive follower of the 'one true' Baudh.

Re: Census of Faith
Irving Malmstein Rosemont, III, Esq. is a fervent believer in Baudh, and mainly believes everything priests tell him about that faith and its practices. He attends temple services whenever he is able, and always enjoys singing along with the hymns, especially.
edit: he would probably classify himself as "pious" since his understanding of the dogma isn't necessarily based on his own readings and analyses of the religious practice, probably disqualifying him from being "devout". He's somewhere in between the two.

Re: Character Creation
Captain Bremen pays (very convincing) lip service to Baudh. He wouldn't mind being considered a knight in the near future.

Bandy Sandybanks: Casual, Beith
Dragon foot. Bamboo pole. Little mouse. Tiny boy.
Re: Census of Faith
Idriss will be casual observant to Eruanna though if hired for chapel ceremonies, baptisms, wedding vows and festivals he can be pious about any 'paying' god.

Re: Census of Faith
I just realized I never changed Captain Bremen's faith, which evolved in my head as I thought him over more.
Captain Bremen is an observant follower of Baudh with a goal of becoming a knight in the (near) future.

Re: Census of Faith
Tyrrell is in devout service to Baudh. He hopes to set up an ecclesial provost outpost, basically religious military police, enforcing the peace, enforcing the order.
Re: Census of Faith
Piers Garrett, Baudh, Devout, because it comes with the job.
