Chapter 07: Reunited again

Ox- Starts moving toward the door. Eddy lets be gone feom room.

Korin getting annoyed with Eddy's delays tries to apply his dwarf underground skills and instincts to try and determine the direction they are and how deep underground they are to better determine what way to go. "Lets get a movin'."

[Nordbo]

(if Ox moves towards the cell door he just helped Korin close)

Ox edges up towards the cell door and is now standing really close to Eddy, who seems agitated, and mumbles mysterious phrases. Meanwhile, Korin, Norbold and Rickina move in the other direction, following Jacob (as NPC) and Croma out of this cell door passage, back towards the dog-smelling area. Korin applies his arcane dwarven senses to successfully ascertain that the group is on the same level as the ground level outside. However, a built-in-compass he does not have.

(if Ox heads in the other direction, together with the others towards the doorless opening at the back of this passage)

Korin, Norbold, Rickina and Ox follow Jacob (as NPC) and Croma out of the cell door passage, to re-enter the dog-smelling area. Korin applies his arcane dwarven senses to successfully ascertain that the group is on the same level as the ground level outside. However, a built-in-compass he does not have. Eddy seems to hesitate, remaining near the door that Ox and Korin just slammed shut.

Ox heads to the dog smelling area.Come Eddy we will come back when we are better prepared.

[Nordbo]

From the back, Eddy calls to Ox: "Uh, I am prepared"<hic>, opens the thick door a crack, slips inside, and slams it. He is now inside the area with that jaw-snapping creature.

Just as the party realises that Eddy is going in alone, they are caught by another more imminent danger out in the dog-smelling room. From the direction of area of the cell where Croma and the rest were imprisoned, four goblins come jumping, brandishing their knackered weapons, cackling madly.

Ox recognizes that two of them are from the group that he and Eddy fought earlier, but who fled. Seems they have brought back reinforcements.

All please roll for surprise

Jacob (as NPC), roll for surprise or initiative: [1d6] = 6
Croma Gung, roll for surprise or initiative: [1d6] = 2

Korin "Knew that durned gnome was a fool drunk, but figr'd he twern't a complete fool. Looks like we got a fight on er hands lads." taking up his weapons the dwarf smiles at the approaching goblins "Time fer a bit o pay back." once the front goblin is near enough the dwarf heaves his throwing axe at it.

Init Roll/ Surprise Roll [1d6] = 3
Hand/Throwing Axe [1d20 +1] = 3+1 = 4 to hit [1d6 +3] = 4+3 = 7 s/m dmg

OX- Looks in astonishment as Eddy closes himself inside the room with giant lizard. Korin can you guys handle them goblins? I will go in help Eddy! Not waiting for a answer from Korin heads to the door with the lizard. knowing that they can handle 4 goblins

As Korin runs towards Ox(with his sword raised), and Ox comes running (with his sword raised) out of the 'thick door room' straight towards Korin - they both smash into each other: <SHA-BANG-NG-NG!!!>

Both their heads will be stunned and their ears will be ringing for a few seconds.

Korin "Alright Ox we gotta go back ta the others Norbold blacked out an i guess the lady is injured. If yah can call that a lady that is. The gnome survive I take it? He get his precious gem?"

[Dram]

Ox- Yes the gnome survived. We slayed the giant lizard. We did not stay and search for the gem. We came back to help you guys. Lets be off and save the others.

[Nordbo]

While Ox talks, Korin can't see Eddy anywhere in the passage where they are standing. Ox then realises that Eddy is obviously still back in the room, rummaging around.

I'm AFK until the 27th or 28th - in the meantime: merry Christmas all friends, close and distant!

Ox- Seeing the Eddy is back in the room. I thought Eddy was right behind me. Let me yell at him. Ox goes to the door. Eddy stay where you are we need to go get the others they are injured. We will be back momentarily He turns and follows Korin. Lets be off.

Korin "Swear that gnome's gonna get us all killed in here."

[Nordbo]

Eddy yells from within: "Wait up! I'm done here, I'm coming" and emerges from the 'beast room' to join Ox and Korin. "Out, you said ? All right then." <hic>

Korin to Eddy and Ox "Aye! Out. We need ta get movin. Norbold is out an guess Croma and the lady got hurt when I was killing gobs with Jacob."

[Nordbo]

Eddy looks startled: "A lady hurt ? Good heavensh; where is the unfortunate damsel" and pulls out a strip of nicotine-stained (but not very moth-eaten) bandage.

Rickina, upon hearing this exchange: "Hurt - yes my feelings are hurt all right, you clumsy gits. But I'm not unconscious, like....him" pointing at Norbold

[Nordbo]

Eddy starts bandaging Norbold but looks a bit worried, and asks Korin: "How many hits did he take ?"

Korin shrugs "Dunno I was busy killin gobs."

[Nordbo]

Croma Gung in a weak voice: "Stoned....didn't see what hit him. A most heinous fate."

Eddy makes a suggestion: <hic> "Ahum, can we carry him out ? Good man Ox, Mr. Dwarf here, and me together ?"
