It's been about two months since the end of Domain of Evil and about a full year since Borsk joined the Alliance and anywhere from 9 months (Clark & Zinn) to little more than 60 days (Zuul) since everyone else has become a Rebel.

It's been 2 years since the Death Star blew up Alderaan and right now; the Empire is hounding the Alliance pretty good. Your team has been assigned to Mortex Sector in the Mid-Rim; where a fairly large Alliane base is located hidden in the extensive caverns in a mountain chain on the planet Fangol. The base has approximately 1,000 personnel including a full Wing of 36 star fighters and a 120 man Company of Infantry along with numerous Intel types and support services. It is the major way-station for Alliance operations in Mortex Sector AND several other neighboring sectors. Right now; the major problem is supplies to keep Rebel operations going….

In an effort to both keep Alliance missions going AND to hurt the Empire at the same time; your Case Officer; Lawra Mers 'volunteered' your team to infiltrate a remote ISB Intel Analysis and Tech base on the planet Lotide; where Rebel Intel believes information on the Imperial's Mortex Sector Replenishment Fleet can be found. To accomplish this; Alliance Intel has come up with forged identities for everyone on the team; with all of you as Scientists newly assigned to the base with a hired Bodyguard (Zuul) escorting them.

The team is equipped with standard Lab Coats, Pocket Computers, armored clothing disguised as regular clothes (+1 pip to STR to resist damage, no DEX penalties) and carry-all bags; but no weapons; except for Zuul; who has one sidearm holstered on his hip* and one vibroblae sheathed on the side of a boot. La'Reth also has a 'special' piece of equipment.**In addition; the briefcase Droid QT 7 was assigned to help break thru computer security and obtain the needed information quickly.

You all entered the planet as passengers on an Imperial approved Shuttle service and met with an Alliance contact known to you only as 'Clydin'; who quickly taught the ropes of the planet and gave you a meetup point out in the boonies of the planet in case everything went south. He also had a fast 'get-away' arranged for when it was time to get off-world.

Arranging repulsorlift transport to the Tech station; the team found themselves heading several hundred kilometers from the capital city they had landed in and passing through a large, dismal swamp that reminded them, a little painfully, of Trinta. Coming to a clearing on a raised 'platform island' in the middle of the swamp; a large, rectangular building comprising the Tech base is seen. After exiting the Repulsorlift transport; you all were met by a bored ISB security guard who checked your credentials; eyed Zuul uneasily and then led you inside where a different Security guard led you upstairs (the building has 2 stories) to the Chief Scientist's office; telling you that Doctor Benkin (the Chief Scientist) will be along momentarily. He then nodded politely; eyed the Barabel suspiciously one last time and left…..after which; you all quickly plugged QT 7 into the computer…..and here we are….

*Rose: We can PM what you want that 'sidearm' to be; but I'm thinking either the Double-barrel Flechette launcher; the 'Enforcer' Slugthrower or just a standard Heavy Blaster Pistol. Let me know.
