Somehow this has taken than everybody fighting for what they wanted. Rhodri showed no interest in the evil sword, so I assume that goes to Numen. Orrin wants cash. 80% chance this means that Rhodri takes the ruby necklace. So what do Lug and Naila want in order of highest to lowest?

Naila prefers cash. She might go for the ruby necklace if all the higher rollers take the cash.

Spartakos said he'd roll after work. I would feel bad rolling for him, given how these rolls have gone

Understood. But if we wait for everybody to take their turn picking what they want, it would take longer than everybody listing what they want ahead of time and having things distributed based upon their lists after Spart rolls.

Not bad. Die rolls for loot are thus:

Numen 10 (higher Cha than Rhodri)
Rhodri 10
Orrin 8
Lug 3 (highest Cha)
Naila 3
Kennit 3 (lowest Cha)

Based on stated preferences, it looks like:

Numen gets parcel #1 and the Deathblade.
Rhodri gets parcel #2 and the ruby necklace.
Orrin has stated he wants cash, so he takes a cash parcel.
Lug goes next; goop or gold?
Naila goes next, and wants cash, so she takes a cash parcel.
Kennit gets whatever Lug doesn't want (goop or gold).

I guess we're responsible for unleashing a chaotic elf armed with an ill-omened blade into the world...

Remaining dispositions:

--All right, scratching the pact idea to avoid bothering Kennit's dedication to free enterprise, is everyone okay with each of us taking a dwarf ring, and Orrin holding the remaining 3 for the moment? We can make it crystal clear that Orrin is holding them in trust for the group, not taking possession of them; if anyone has a problem with that, I'm open to suggestions...bury 'em in the ground and draw a treasure map?

--Orrin and Kennit picked up those curved swords, and they were the ones who risked their necks in the tunnels, so I'll let 'em have 'em if they want. If either wants to sell one to Rhodri, he'll pay 20 gp for one (or swap his dwarven shortsword, if either want it).

--Who's taking the funky knife? It's too cool to not keep, so if no one else wants it Rhodri will take it.

--Lug would like at least 1 of the wolf pelts...anybody care if he takes 'em both?

Lug will take the goop. He only needs one pelt if that's enough to make a cloak.

It would take two to make a traveling cloak from. It would be more of a cape with just one.

The black beast's pelt, however, would make a fine cloak by itself.

And plans for a nice black cloak at some point.

Orrin would be interested in the knife. Regarding the curved sword he brought back, Rhodri can have it. If Numen still wants the hair, he can have it.

Orrin opens the pouch with the rings and carefully hands one to each in turn, keeping four in the bag. He holds the bag up for all to see.

"Fear not, I will guard these closely. I intend to try and find out their significance. Although you are certainly free to do with them as you wish, I would ask each of you one last time to hang onto yours until we know more about them."

A new era of darkness is heralded as Numen takes the black blade eagerly. "Hope," he insists. "It's name is Hope." He stuffs the beard-bag in his pack and heads off to the tavern.

Numen experiences the same sensation of nearly overwhelming power that Kennit did when he picked up the sword, as he takes it in hand.

Rhodri accepts his good luck at the lots with the same glum look another man might wear when told his dog is dead. After Numen announces his claim on the magic sword, he selects the lot with the magical necklace. Hesitating only briefly, he picks it up and fastens it around his neck. Assuming he doesn't burst into flames or froth at the mouth, he sweeps his share of the gold into his pouch.

When Orrin doles out the rings, Rhodri examines his with a jaundiced eye, then slips it on a rawhide thong and ties it around his neck, tucking it down into his shirt for safekeeping. He nods with a grunt of gratitude when Orrin offers him the curving sword, and eyes the wicked edge before resheathing it.

He gives Numen a wary look as his fellow elf takes custody of what they all now know is a sword of dark portents. When Numen happily christens his new blade, Rhodri rolls his eyes and gives a snort. "If our own hopes are no brighter than that piece of metal, I reckon we're all for the boneyard," he mutters under his breath, as he gets up to go.

Naila takes her gold and her ring. She puts the ring on a leather cord and puts it around her neck, tucking the ring into her robe so no one can see it.

Kennit scoops up his gold with a leery glance at Numen, he seems to be out of the room as soon as possible. As if he may get blamed for letting an elf with questionable sanity and an evil sword loose on the world.

EDIT: Kennit takes a curved goblin sword as well. Does Naila want the curved goblin dagger? Because he is about to take that as well after seeing the two elves who slept through the battle come away with the best loot.

Orrin has expressed interest in the curved dagger a couple times. If Kennit wants it too, we need to dice for it.
