house rules & optional rules

#1 Post by Synthalus »

God Rolls Rule:
Should a character die during the course of this adventure let it be known that there an optional rule in place called GOD ROLLS!

God Rolls work thusly,
1. You Die
2. You roll 1D20
3. You roll Three more D20's in order to match your first roll

4. On your Third roll should you come within one number of your goal number you shall get one last roll to match.

5. Should you match your number on any of these three rolls your dead body disappears from the field of battle and you shall be returned in 1D4 rounds with as many Prayers for the duration of that battle.

6.Making your god rolls means that your god has further plans for you and in that moment choose to give you a second chance to life long enough to fulfill those plans.

House Rule

Prayers can be stacked up to 4 total. With a Withdraw used by a cleric, he can huddle the group together and cast all four prayers on the group. In this moment MU's that can cast Protection from Evil 10' radius are encouraged to do so, this way every member of the group has both spell effects and also the best chance of survival.

Note that if the cleric cannot cast all four prayers at one time, multiple clerics can cast two prayers each at the same time and get the same max prayers of 4.

Tablets of Recall

In my campaign worlds 8thlvl Clerics can create Tablets of Recall. They work a bit differently though in my campaign. A Cleric can make one tablet a week if he works on nothing else and three tablets a month up to a max total of 9 tablets a year or three months worth of work. These Tablets are Linked spiritually to a single spot of the clerics choosing and must have some kind of holy significance to the cleric creating them. They are usually the sized of a large cookie made from hardened bake clay inscribed with runic prayers to the clerics god.

USE:
A Tablet of recall can be gifted to anyone the cleric is friends with or on good terms with, other wise it is useless to those that steal or buy them. It must be given freely from the cleric. When used the tablet is broken in half and the person using it is teleported w/o error to the linked location. Only the user of the table is teleported along with his carried belongings. Their is usually a large poof of smoke and the user disappears. Of course these items are mostly used by the cleric alone to go get help.

MATERIAL COST:
One Tablet equals 1000gp to make in materials

SPELL CASTER BONUS / FIGHTER CLASS BONUS / THIEF BONUS

I award spell casters 50 XP per lvl of spell they cast each time they cast a spell.

Example: CLW 1st LVL spell = 50 / if you cast it 4 times to heal yourself up you will get 200 XP bonus!
Example: Fire Ball 3rd LVL spell = 150 XP each time it is cast.
Example: 1st lvl=50 / 2nd lvl=100 / 3rd lvl=150 / 4th lvl=200 / th lvl=250 etc. etc.

This XP is only for the spell caster and is not shared with the group. It is a bonus for spell casters only.

It takes 15 minutes to pray/study a spell per lvl of the spell.

Example: 1st lvl spell 15 min. / 2nd lvl 30 min. / 3rd lvl 45 min. etc. etc.

FIGHTER BONUS

The Fighter bonus is similar to the spell caster bonus. Whenever a Fighter or fighter sub-class such as ranger scores a Critical hit (natural un-modified 20) They get 50 XP bonus. Just like the spell casters this bonus is only for the individual player character that scored the critical hit.

I will not be able to remind you each time you cast a spell or get a critical hit to take your bonus XP, so please remember to keep track of this on your own. If you don't then you will be missing out on a lot for bonus XP.

THIEF BONUS

For every successful thief skill used the thief gains 50XP Bonus as well.

ATTACK SEQUENCE BREAKDOWN (MELEE/MISSILE)

Unchangeable Facts:
1. Ulfang has two attacks with his sword per round.
2. Movement must be made before attacks each round.
3. If you decide not to move that is your movement.
4. You may still attack if you don't move.
5. You have two attacks with your bow per round.
6. You cannot switch weapons after firing a missile weapon first and attack again its one or the other.
7. You can use a bow the previous round and when the next round of movement and actions begins you may drop your bow and draw your sword well moving and attack as you can do this all in one motion.
