Module Description

[Synthalus]

The Temple was built in a previous age, a secret place of worship to Tharizdun, He of the Eternal Darkness. It drew the most wicked persons to it, and the cult flourished for generations, sending out its minions from time to time to enact some horrible deed upon the lands around. However, a great battle eventually took place between Tharizdun and those opposed to his evil. Unable to destroy him, they were strong enough to overcome his power and imprison him somewhere, by means none have ever been able to discover. Thus Tharizdun disappeared from the face of the earth, and from all of the other known planes, and has not been seen again since. The temple has long since been abandoned and not until recently rediscovered by scouts from the city of Gnome vale. Untold numbers of monsters have filled its depths since its abandonment and the Gnomes of Gnome Vale want the temple cleaned out for there protection and they are willing to pay handsomely.

The Mage College of Pandathaway has petitioned the city council for the right to fund an expedition to aid Gnome Vale in the hopes of making them into allies. All able bodied Adventurers are welcome to apply for inclusion on this expedition. The Wizard Sotha Sil will be interviewing all possible applicants in the wizard colleges court yard.
