Character Generation

#1 Post by Distorted Humor »

Character Generation:

Characters will be generated using 4d6, drop the lowest roll for ability scores. Ability scores will be rolled in Any order. Hit points will be maximum for character type at first level with the applicable Constitution modifier. Starting gold will be rolled at random. Wizards spell books are character generated but I look ever and approve. If you have a low level character from another game that is no longer active and you would like to use it please pm me in regards.

If all ability scores are below 14 and you do not want to play with those stats, I will let you reroll. If we have a smaller number of players (right now we are at three) then If the party request I can make some NPC party additions that will take full share in treasure and 1/2 share in XP to bulk out the party.

Are we using Unearthed Arcana rules, and if so, which? Such as:

- UA race/class combinations?

- UA racial level limits?

- The new UA classes?

- Weapon specialization?

How about the various UA races? Gray dwarves, and all that?

No.

I do allow UA spells, but the starting spellbooks must be of not UA spells.

Will druids receive bonus spells from high wisdom, as clerics do?

Should we take into account character age and aging (pp. 12-13 DMG)?

Working on my character (a cleric), I should have him up sometime tonight if all goes well. I'm at the selecting equipment stage of character generation. BTW, how extensive of a background do you want us to provide?

I go by the rule that you shouldn't make too much background till they are 3rd level (Insert evil DM laugh), of course, if you want to expand on it you can, but I prefer to let it grow organically, of course, if you have a idea go ahead and run with it.
