Conan continues up the stairs to the door. He hears voices behind the door; light comes out from underneath.

Conan examines the door and attempts to listen-in.
Find Traps 45% [1d100] = 100 Hear 30% [1d100] = 55
He opens the door.

The door muffles any vocal clarity. It creeks open a bit showing Conan it is not locked.

In the room is the Guild Lieutenant and another man. "Congratulations! You have competed the Run. We hope it was instructive for you and helps improve your thief skills. We will report your scores in a few days." He pats Conan on the back and shows him out and up to the Guild building, where the barbarian-thief is healed of his wounds and offered a fine meal and drink.
Well that's it. Hope you enjoyed it, I found it interesting. It's the first time I actually finished something in PbP. Here is the map; it contains superfluous secret side-corridors for the Guild that the Runner wouldn't be exposed to.

Cheers to you sir! :D I had great fun throughout. The Conan character has been my main gaming influence since the 70s and this is the first time I got to play him. Even when I was frustrated as a player, I did the "What Would Conan Do" thought over in my head. There were times I wished I had a more nimble thief who was concerned for the point scoring followed by a Lankhmar campaign, but this worked well. Actually "Finishing" something in this great hobby does feel good so enjoy. What Dragon issue did this scenario appear?

Thanks! Assassin's Run is an early Ed Greenwood creation from Dragon Magazine, August, 1982.

A great Hildebrandt cover.
