Ruken nods readily enough in response to the orc's proposal to continue the temporary, and oh so very fragile, truce. "Yes. We can say and come to any conclusions we want, but in the end, its actions that speak louder! Tyrion, where did you find that wheel again? It sounds a good starting point for our search." Ruken may just be overly naïve right now, too trusting of others, but if this partnership paves the way for an interesting future, how can the little guy say no to something as exciting as that? ;)

The tall dwarf shakes his head. "Aint it our task ta rid this island a trouble? The dead elf o'er there says these fellas up ta no good. "

The smaller orc shouts out "Weren't us did da elf in. We was doublin back lookin fer dat no good TinTi-"
"Shut up you!" snarls the larger orc punching the smaller in the mouth.

Thorgrim glares at the large orc and hisses menacingly, "Who's playin' who? Now, you have one last chance. What aren't you telling us? Tell us the truth or you'll end up like that elf there. Who's this Tin Ti-?"

Ruken realizes that there is more to this engagement then simply starting off on the wrong foot with name calling. A whole history of violence has built up to this, gave it shape and form. Though he received no such orders to eliminate the natives of the island, the gnome cannot help but think that his adventuring predecessors did not have a problem spilling orcish blood anyways, mission or not. Ruken grimaces at the thought and looks away. 'This is normal I guess, and I've still got much to learn of the world,' he thinks to himself in slight defeat.

"I..." he looks to the angry dwarves, the orcs, the dead elf he hadn't noticed until now, and then to the others around him, "I will have no part in this, I'm sorry. I thought we could work this out, I really did." The gnome backs away. It does not seem like this encounter will end peaceably, and with that in mind, he prepares himself to run away in the opposite direction if need be.

Eirenaios pats Ruken's back as he backs away, "You tried your best", he readies his sling.

He aims at the big orc and as he looks back to Ruken he adds, "Try and keep the one that talked alive, for information at least"

An arrow wizzes between Throm and Craxzus, striking the larger orc in the chest! As the group turns to scan the treeline another arrow strikes the orc in the head. The other two orcs scramble against the cave wall and ball up to protect themselves.
Searching the woods you spy a small kobold carrying a short hunting bow. He has another arrow notched with yet another in the same hand. He walks slowly toward the group arrow pointed down.
"Da big'un wif da biggen mouf was da troubles. Deez uder twos aint no nuttin wif'em dead. Taptap ain't no troubles wif'em dead neither. Long as wizards don'a be pointin no fingersss at Taptap." he pauses near one of the large rocks about 30' away.
Taptap jussst happy be rid of'em."
He cocks his snouted head and blinks.
"Yousss no trouble fer Taptap, eh?"

Thorgrim whips around and quickly sights in on the little kobold.

"TapTap?" he asks quizzically. "Where's TinTin then?" He scowls that the newest arrival, "I'm getting awfully tired of this game. I say we just kill them all and let the gods sort them out. No?" He takes a deep breath and sighs, "Ok. What's your story? And be quick about it!"

If/As the kobold tells his story, Thorgrim will try to get a sense of whether he's telling the truth or not.

"Uhh..." Ruken blinks in disbelief. He looks towards the newcomer, a kobold of all things, and back at the now cowering orcs. "Right, the fight is over now, now that the big one is gone?" The gnome looks warily towards the self-proclaimed Taptap and then smiles. "I won't do anything rash if you put your bow down. I think the others in my group will agree, uhm... well mostly everyone."

Ruken, having the seen the big orc aggressor put down, feels confident again in renewing join treasure hunting relations.

"Den big ssstinky killsss da orc brothersss ta keep sssilver all to hisss ssstinky ssself. Woulda killsss yousss if could to. Greedy sstinky orcsss."

Eirenaios gives a little bow to the newcomer, "Pleases to meet you, you managed to fix up this whole situation with two arrows, and it's only fair that their fate be left to you seeing how they put you through a lot of........distress. But you can't kill them all if you do not know the place of that treasure"

Eirenaios feeling that things cooled down a bit moves towards the dead elf and gives a silent prayer before his curiosity got the better of him and he started searching the body for any valuables.

He then starts digging an unmarked grave to honor the fallen elf.
