Eirenaios replies to Varrick with extreme happiness since he finally understood a sentence that was uttered by him, "A troll blood can be useful for many magic rituals, so I bet Ruken here can find some use to it if not many". He approaches the fast healing troll and examines his wounds, he is trying to determine what sort of magic is in use here.

The gnome's head pops out of nearby bush and stares at the downed trolls carefully, half afraid that they will jump up and grab him. He nods his head though and says with widened eyes. "Once I'm positively, absolutely sure that they will not get up and rip my lil' arms off, I'd be more than happy to collects some of that troll blood. The young man who talks funny and the mage (Ruken doesn't know their names yet in-game) are right about the blood. Magical or not, the regenerative properties found in trolls are extraordinary to say the least! If I could get a good vial or two of the stuff, I could whip up some salves and potions that could reverse injuries like they were nothing, probably." Ruken stops and thinks about this in his head for a moment and then nods in self-confirmation. "Yes, 75% sure of it!"

Varrick nods at Ruken, "Best ta git 'a tube 'a te stuff den ye?" He then begins stabbing the troll near him, creating more holes for the gnome to extract blood from.

Eirenaios stoops to study the trolls strange regenerative powers. He searches through his memory of all things arcane, reaching deep into the corners of his mind. While he decides the trolls healing ability is natural and can probably be subdued by caurtorizing the wounds by even non magical methods, his focus digs deeper. He wonders how sorcery he knows might be augmented to produce the heat nesessary to achieve that goal. Mere seconds tick by outside his mind while he seems to spend hours trying to unlock the doors of his own knowledge. He searches and finds a link that was eluding him. He is amazed to discover that bringing together separate fragments of his knowledge of sorcery he already has, he may be able to use a specific gesture and over power a spell for greater effect!

The others continue to hack, slash, and bash at the incapacitated trolls, obviously doing more damage than the mythical beasts can heal...but for how long...?

Thorgrim opens his backpack, pulls out a flask of lamp oil and proceeds to douse both trolls in oil. Once Ruken has collected a satisfactory amount of troll blood, Thorgrim announces, "Ok boys. Light 'em up!"

Once Ruken has the necessary amount of samples he'll need to get some regeneration potions or something for the group Varrick will light one of his own torches as well and toss it on the oil covered trolls.

Ruken carefully collects some of the blood into his vials. Each vial is 2 drms. How many vials?
Throgrim pours the last of his lamp oil over the still squirming bodies and Varrick sets them ablaze.
Can't believe the trolls missed their resistance rolls so many times, Who da mage? :)
The fire spreads quickly over the trolls, engulfing their eyes, mouths, and the brain cavity left open by so many pummels. It becomes obvious they won't regenerate from this type of damage.

Varrick sheaths his daggers and waits for the group to move out, he whistles a little tune while he waits with a smile on his face.

DM gave Ruken a ?? number question! Quick! Say 1000!!

I'm going to say that Ruken used 4 vials to collect the precious troll blood... no, 5! :D Yes 5 vials of troll blood will yield a yummy 10 drms.

Ruken, collects the blood and places the sealed vials careful into this pack. While rummaging through it, his hand brushes against a healing elixir he brewed for the trip. Looking over at the young man who is bleeding a puddle at his feet (Varrick), the gnome cannot help but feel sorry for him and pulls the elixir out. He walks up to the man and hands it to him with a smile. "Drink this, it is one of those healing tonics I was talking about earlier; it should help with your pain at the very least."
Elixir of Minor Healing: pouring this tonic over an open wound or drinking it will heal 1d4 points from a single wound.

The gnome scurries over to the path that he found earlier and points it out to the others with great excitement. "Over here everyone! It's right here, the path the trolls took, and something much bigger too!"

Would Ruken know if the path is leading towards the direction of the shrine he encountered earlier with his dwarven traveling companion?

Navigate Check 19% [1d100] = 36 Just in case this is what I needed to roll.

Navigation is perfect skill for that. Since you travelled this route a little over a day ago I'll make it an easy skill roll so you succeed. The trolls path goes more west while your path for now leads north and west then east, around the feet of the mountain.
