"Well, if you can trust those people you hired, I suppose... yeah, it could work." Ruken calms down some and shakes his head to wake himself up. "You just got done buying a whole farm little missie, will you have enough to pay for the hands? I could try and contribute to the fund and..." the gnome digs through his coin purse to find a few coins to give to the girl. His heart sinks a bit as he remembers just how much he has left. "At the very least, let me fix those hives that were damaged from the fight earlier. I... don't feel quite right having eaten your some of your food without doing something in return. It was under a different man and different circumstances, I know, but still! I'd take out those nasty undead for you, but I'm no good at fighting either. So the hives, definitely!"

The gnome starts to visibly get exited gain, and starts to make his way for the door. He stops though and turns around to double check with the girl on something. "You do have enough to pay the hands, right? If not, I might have something for you that you could sell..."

"You are indeed welcome, master dwarf." says evie stirring the pot and spooning the soup into bowls.
"Finish your nap if your stomach is full. You don't need to fix the hives, sir." she addresses Ruken.
"Bees are honest, all I know. And dem hives are overflowin wit da good stuff. I'll bottle and sell'nuff to pay my help fer their first month easy." she laughs, handing out bowls of soup and passing a large loaf of bread around.
"Rancho 'least kept da corn crops in good 'nuff shape. Another month and that'll get harvested ta feed what animals need feedin in Midway and Elizabeth Bay anyway. Dats all dat corn be good fer is feedin livestock, by the by. Tough scat it is, if you'll pardon me."

Everyone gets there fill and naps as they want.
Waking they find Evie has slaughtered a pig and gathered eggs for breakfast.
"Der's bread an honey, some Ham, eggs...'nuff ta get Ya a good start, me thinks. "

Eirenaios sits at the table, "Thank you for the great hospitality miss. Truly appreciated", he starts eating in a polite manor, feeling out of place, "This tastes very good, you are a good cook"

Varrick sits down at the table, eating some eggs and ham, "Oy', fore' we get gon' make sure ta stop me', A' kno' wot ye said 'n all but ye still get a split 'a da loot ye? Ya did jus' as much as we did, an' noone be blamin' ye fer wot 'appin ye?"

since we're safe enough, might as well split the loot we found in the cave amongst Thorgrim, Varrick, and Evie. Help her pay the farm costs for one and allows us to figure out what to do with everything.

Throm Thundergut awakens from his sleep feeling well rested looks around the guest house for anyone unsure if the others stayed in the main house or some with him. Then the smell of cooking pig stirs his stomach to the point where he follows his nose and tries to look for his gnome companion. Then eventually he just finds himself at the main farmhouse front door and he knocks. "Breakfast time is it? Can I come in an have some? I can help with chores if yah need me ta." he calls out from the door not wanting to be rude and barge in. As he waits he looks around and says "Where is that Ruke anyways? Likely playin wit them bees again."

Just as a reminder, you put a lot of the loot inside the 'durable bag' found on Malfiac (Bag of Holding). So the weight would not be as great as you think. ;)

Ruken is indeed outside as everyone sits around a table for the morning meal. A casual look outside will reveal him tending to the hives, trying to fix up the hives even though he was told it not necessary a task. The bees around him seem calm as the cheery gnome goes about replacing ruined honeycombs and introducing more honey from his private reserve. A whistle can be heard coming from him, echoing some distance away the sound of a kiddie tune he picked up in the mainland. He leans over sideways and waves to those who peer through the window, a wide grin on his face and sticky honey all over his beard.

Truth be told I'm specting two of dem boys ta show up mid day, so i made extra. " she sops up some wine with a chunk of bread and chews heartily.
"Ya'all don't know how 'portant Ya are. Clearin all manner of unwelcome critters from'ere. People farmin especially dont get it. A couple bad folk get people spooked 'bout the rest of Ya. You all are right in my book. I do hope ta see yas again." She smiles contently.
"I'm so damn happy I could burst!"

Throm enters the house wipes his boots and sits down to eat. "Plenty o tha meat for me I hope. I'm not much on breads but mean n eggs an you've got me flat out happy for the mornin'." He helps himself to whatever there is for pork products and if there is eggs some of those too. He eats like most dwarves a bit messy and almost as if he'd been half staved over night. "I'm always glad ta pitch in a helpin hand." he says between bites. "Where are we ta head off to on tha road taday?" again between bites. When finished eating he lets out a hearty belch, and wipes his beard and face off on his sleeves. "Good eats. My compliments to the cook."

Thorgrim wakes after a restful night and joins the others at the breakfast table. After finishing off several large platefuls, he pushes himself back from the table and stretches.

"You are a mighty fine cook there, Miss Evie. I'm glad to see you back where you belong. If you ever need anything just send word and I will do what I can to help you out."

Evie laughs and starts cleaning plates from the table.
"Good thing my hired hands didn't show fer mornin vittles. Whoda thunk ya dwarf folk could put away so much? Beggin yer pardon." she laughs again.
"Yer praise is 'preciated. Good ta be in ma own kitchen"

Throm would be the one bending and breaking stuff lol so it would be maybe what Ruken hates? or was there a halfling in this group?

Eirenaios stops Evie from cleaning the table, "Oh no, please allow me, you have been a great host, it's the least I can do", he smiles and begins collecting plates and spoons and putting them away.

"Wherever you go, I will be lending you my help. The Ambassador didn't really bother to fill me in on the details, what exactly is your mission?"

Having finished tending to the bees, Ruken joins the other for the morning meal and helps himself to a bit of the pork, showering it with lots of salt and a smidge of honey. He shies away from the bread, butter and milk though, not being accustomed to eating such foods. "Your two farm hands haven't shown up yet? Hmm, humans can be a cowardly lot at times, or perhaps their willingness to help was not as genuine... ah, but nevermind that last part, that's just me past speaking up again, don't mind it none."

After cleaning up his plate and utensils and bringing them over to Eirenaios for collection, Ruken asks Throm about their next course of action. "Our mutual friends here," he motions over to the other adventurers with his head as he says this, "appears to be busy splitting their, t-their bountiful pile of loot, having finished some mission from the councelor lady no doubt. Maybe they can help us investigate the shrine to the west, you know, where the shambling bones rose and chased us? After you all finish counting your shinies of course." Ruken says the latter to the group as a whole directly. "My traveling partner Throm and me were investigating the western forest of Midday. We had some human archers to help out, but they ran off like scared little kiddies when they saw the skeletons. I did too, but, uh... anyways, we could use your help with this shrine thing. It looked quite valuable and might have some significance to something around here, something the councelor lady... may...want... to if I can just get two or three of them, I mean, err, wait... yeah, so can you help?" The gnome is clearly distracted by the pile of gemstones that the group has, his eyes widening and slowly drifting towards the pile of shinies, taking on the shape of gemstones themselves as his words stutter from his mouth.
