Varrick will mostly likely be in the front to spot any traps with either Rufo or Thorgrim behind him to quickly change places if we run into any enemies.

Malfiac will be in the middle, or close to Evie, perhaps behind her if she is up front leading the way. Malfiac wants to make sure that he is able to jump to her defense if things get serious! He will have his Jagged Bone Dagger at the ready and will pass his lit torch to someone in the back if he is indeed situated in the middle.

***Rafo, Back In Cave With Evie***

Rafo, not trusting Evie as much as the others and feeling some of the party is keeping him in the dark with hushed whispers will take his position the back of the group. There he will watch the rear for any signs of trouble or missed hidden doors.

Yes, Thorgrim will follow Varrick with his battle axe at the ready.

As the party gets further from the splashing waterfall, the unmasked sounds of clicking and splooshing can be heard ahead.
Rounding a corner you see two strange serpent like creatures with many legs and tentacles. Each longer than a man is tall, with greyish skin glistening in the torch light.
They seem to smell you as their writhing appendages search the air, and turn to approach you!

All of the sudden, a blue haze envelopes the party and an icy wind permeates the air as Evie starts to burn with a blue flame!

Varrick steps back, his dagger and torch still in his hands, adopting a battle ready stance as he watches what is about to happen, His main focus is on the creatures head towards them but he is holding back due to his curiosity of Evie.

***Rafo, Cave with Evie***

Standing his ground, Rafo likewise waits for Evie to do whatever she is doing.

Evie slowly steps back. Fear is evident in her eyes and labored breath. She looks around and is surprised by everyone's inaction (so far) and squeaks: "Friendsa yers? "

Varrick sees the fear in Evie's eyes and gives her a warm smile, "Hahaha nah nah jus' seein' wot you is got planned is all lil' dawlin', Lettus see if dey be likin' fire yeh?" As Varrick attempts to give the young girl courage he obviously forgot the part of looking where he is throwing and hurls the burning torch towards the creatures.

Some may say you should never throw with everything you have... Varrick would disagree..

Thorgrim steps in front of Evie and adopts a defensive stance, waiting to see what the creatures will do.

***Rafo, Cave With Evie***

If one of those monster should approach the group, Rafo will step off to the side, to get a better view, and toss his net at it.

Malfiac DEX 10

Malfiac too will adopt a defensive stance, bone dagger at the ready to slice at anything that lunges at him. If a ranged attack is performed instead (acid slime spit or something of the like), he will try to dodge it. "A-are these the bugs you encountered Varrick? I don't think I like how they have so many legs, and are those tentacles?!"

attack roll [1d100] = 93

dagger damage with bonus [1d4] = 2+2+[1d4] = 2 Total of 6 damage if applicable.

dodge roll [1d100] = 86

If the creatures keep there distance and attack, then Malfiac will start to close in on them on the next round. If they don't attack, he will try to look for a way around them, also on the next round.

Malfiacs torch gains too much height in the throw, bounces off the tunnel ceiling, sending burning sparks to sizzle in the water below. the torch lands on the far shore, illuminating many skeletal remains.
The creatures seem to follow the torches trail with their tentacles but quickly turn their attention to the party.
A series of angry clicks signals their charge and they scramble towards the party!

***Rafo Cave Bugs***

"Here they come!" Rafo tosses his net at the creature nearest him. The net lands onto the creature and Rafo yells..."Baruk Khazâd! Khazâd ai-mênu!"

Rafo(9)

Varrick tightens his grip on his dagger, "'Ese ain't wot A' was fightin but dey is sure mean lookin eh? Haha, Time ta git ma 'ands 'a bit durty yeh?" Varrick then quickly checks the creatures out, trying to find any weaknesses, seeing the net entangling the creature near Rafo, Varrick quickly lunges towards it, attempting to land on top of the creature and thrust his dagger into the creature, hopefully finding it's brain.

Varrick Agility Roll(65): [1d100] = 34

Dagger Attack (45) [1d100] = 65
Dagger Damage: [1d6+1] = 5+1 = 6

Let me know if my rolls were good, or, if not then let me know what I need to roll. :D

Will I need to provide a new set of rolls?

your rolls are still in play. But please include your characters skill % in all rolls.
Ie: not this

Code: Select all

attack roll [1d100] = 93
But this:

Code: Select all

attack roll [94] = 93
[/ooc]
