I couldn’t find any range modifiers for firearms, so I interpolated short/medium/long ranges to match other missile and thrown weapons attacks at +1/+0/-1 respectively.

I have since found the rules for firearm range modifier:
  • Note that firearm ranges are handled differently than thrown and primitive weapons. Firearms have a normal range and a maximum range. Attacks are handled normally for any range up to normal range. For any distance between normal and maximum, there is a -2 to hit.

    p.50
So, do we use the rule range modifier or the house rule interpolated range modifiers?
I'm always good with BtB when there is no reason to house rule.

I'll get the battle started over this weekend.

Work has been kicking my a** all week and I haven't had time for gaming.

I'm still here, but R.L. is kicking my butt. I will make time, this week, to post the next sequence of actions.

My apologies for not posting this sooner.

Argh! I'm just overwhelmed with...stuff. Time just goes by fast! Add that to this adventure being a loose framework that I flesh out with the details as we play.

I'll try to get something up soon. I don't want to be one of "those guys" who just disappears. :)

I’m going to change the way that I have been posting.

When a character posts, I will respond to that action for the current round. They may state their next action, but I will not post until all character actions for the current round have been resolved.

Let’s see how this play out. :)

I regretfully have come to a decision that will end our Mutant Future game.

I am no longer able to dedicate the time and effort for this sandbox-style adventure. It’s not fair to the players when the game master can’t maintain a consistent rate of posting. I was hoping to complete this session, “Against the Ant Lord”, and then archive the game for future revival. Reviving an incomplete game is difficult after a certain period of time, so I don’t consider this a possibility.

I enjoyed my first experience as a PbP game master, and I thank everyone who participated. I look forward to future gaming sessions on this board as either a player or game master.

Best wishes to all,

Norjax
