Wulfhart, confused by the lack of blood, swings the Fang of Cuthbert again towards the demented doctor.

Candy watches, flashing a sharp-toothed grin as she watches the warriors in the group tear apart the doctor. She watches the last security roy-bot carefully, ready to activate her spell ring in case the metal golem turns hostile.

Wrenly cringes as the blade slices into Getafix. He feels somewhat responsible."Um... stop that!" he yells at the insane surgeon from his relative safety. He has no intention of entering the fray with so many swords and battle axes swinging about. Surely the brawny types can handle it.

Suddenly remembering the hidden, mind controlling creature, he yells out to Candiasis. "Oh, Candiasis, dear! Wonderful to have you back. Would you happen to possess knowledge of any spells to increase visibility? By which I mean decrease invisibility. Our Getafix, I'm quite certain, has been taken over by an invisible brain creature. With legs. And I don't think the doctor is helping."

Brother Puddington, if he can find room to land a blow on the beleaguered surgeon, will attempt to do so with his mace. He is all kinds of unhappy the doctor turned out not to be the friendly type with lots of helpful medicines and ointments to prescribe.

Fingal cowers off to the side of the action. He badly wants to use his new hand held metal cutter on the robots but is afraid that the magical beam might hit one of his friends instead.

He is confused at the mention of an invisible brain walking around. Has everyone in this place gone completely mad? He keeps an eye out for the invisible monster, looking around for wet footprints that might give away the things location.

He listens intently, trying to hear footfalls that aren't really there.

Seeing everyone turning their attention to the android doctor, Porphyry decides to take out the remaining worker robot. From his perch upon the Displacer Zombie, he aims his sling:
The bullet pings harmlessly off the metal.

Guido yelps in pain, but manages to keep his shield in front of him. He swings his mace at the thing-of-many-cutting-tools.

To hit: [1d20] = 18
Dmg: (If sm/med) [1d6+1] = 1+1 = 2
(If L) [1d6] = 2
As if size matters.

Mayhem in Medical - Round 5

Guido the cleric rises to the occasion, battling through the pain of his cut. The column of blades and drills bears down on him again. A knife jackhammers into his forearm, spurting arterial blood; a small drill buzzes the side of his neck (14 HP total.) Guido perseveres, bringing down his mace upon the column of death. It dents the metal and breaks a scalpel.

The silver-doctor man continues its healing operation on the prone Getafix. After slicing along the top of his forehead, he continues to slice the side and peels back the skin, exposing bloody skull (1 HP.) The druid must scream, but he can't move his mouth. The pain is too much and he blacks out. The doctor produces a drill from his left wrist...

The adventurers gang up on the silver doctor-man. Brother Puddington, perhaps inspired by his fellow cleric, joins the battle. His mace clangs against its right arm, knocking it askew in its socket. Groyn the dwarf hacks a knee off with his battle axe. Andover the ranger gains focus and swings and thrusts with Spellslasher, chopping a left forearm off and crunching a shoulder. Wulfhart hews the doctor with Fang of Cuthbert, collapsing in right ribs.

Amid the suddenly crowded melee, Asherrion the gray finds it difficult to hit with his longsword. Swilbosh the lizardman, held fast by the robot's two lower arms, is unable to maneuver his trident. (Roll bend bars to escape, it has 24 Str.)

From all the punishing blows, the silver doctor sparks, smokes, spins and collapses in a heap of broken metal. As the light in the robot's eyes goes out, the menacing moving column of scalpels, drills and tools suddenly stops. Guido sighs in relief.

Wrenly yells alarm about an invisible monster, seeking Candidiasis' aid is revealing it. Fingal looks and listens for the alleged invisible creature. The thief only hears the clang of metal on metal, the grunts of effort and pain from his battling comrades. Greyv watches from the side. Candidiasis watches the men fight, her fingers poised on her ring.

Porphyry the satyr lets loose a sling stone at the remaining robot, but it veers wildly off target.

Only the one robot remains. "Destruction of medical personnel is an offense. Cease. You will be apprehended for security arrest."

Its two tentacle arms hold the struggling Swilbosh. The two regular arms are free. Its head shoots a ray that sweeps those grouped around and fighting the doctor. (All save vs. Breath, except Guido, Candy, Fingal, Wrenly, Gryev, Porphyry, Getafix.)

Fingal steps forward, hoping that he can settle things down. He gets into the view of the robot but not close enough to be grabbed. He holds out the card again.

ROBOT! Stop what you are doing and stand down! Now!

The doctor was malfunctioning! These people were just defending themselves! No arrests will be necessary!

Swilbosh, savage lizardman warrior:

The ferocious primitive writhes and twists like a trapped panther but cannot break free from the steely grip of the iron golem.

Bend Bars: (13%): [1d100] = 100
Save vs Breath: (13): [1d20] = 7
Swil is a waterbreathing amphibian. Does that help him against airborne attacks?

Andover waits to see if the security robot obeys Fingal's command. If not, he attacks.

Bleeding profusely from his arm and a few lesser cuts, Guido issues a quiet cry similar to a girl and fumbles with his Prayer beads.

Cure Serious Wounds: [2d8+1] = 12+1 = 13

He moans in relief that his curing arts, and the gifts of his sect, allow comfort even for himself. That is my final blessing of healing, my friends. We must find an adequate place to rest and recover!

Wulfhart tries to duck out of the way of the golem's ray, but is caught out admiring his handiwork on the doctor/automaton.

If the last remaining foe does not accede to Fingal's order, Candy twists her ring and moves towards the metal golem, hands outstretched.
