Good afternoon! Where's this new player you mentioned might be joining us? And where's Thurgrum?

Don't know and don't know.
I sent our new player a PM and an email...not sure why he hasn't responded.

As for Thurgrum, I sent him a second PM tonight - if I don't hear from him by tomorrow night, I'm moving on without him.

No, not at all - should be fun to see how it plays out.

And in keeping with the situation...

For those of you who are religious:

Waiting to hear from Oggle and Darkstar - to see if they have any response, before I post for Adain and Galan Ghostspeaker. Will give it a couple more hours.

This is my last day of spring break  but the good thing is the next 9 weeks is all downhill! Hopefully, I'll have some time to log in at work and fire off a quick post or two. One thing I want to impress upon you is not to be in a hurry to leave Morgur's Mound and get to Grunwald...at least in real time. We can spend a few days role-playing and planning before the night is up and it is a new day in game time.

Player update:
I'm going to remove Brund the Decrepit from the player list today; Thurgrum will officially become an NPC until we reach Grunwald, whereupon he will leave the group. Belkregos is the new player and he will join up in Grunwald...if I can ever get him to send me his character! C'mon man!

i'm just getting used to this new site and controls, and starting to read through the story, i'm still a bit on the uphill learning to move around on this site but it looks like it has a lot of tools to help with PBP gaming, hope to be able to run with the pack soon

i made a human ranger character, took the Justifier kit

here's a link to the character sheet (hope it works), might tweek it a bit but i think for the most part its done

sorry Belkregos, your post got lost in moderation. :) you just jumped right in. Which is cool, I just gotta get your account approved. Welcome!!!
This is a game about killing things and taking their stuff so you can become more powerful in order to kill bigger things and take even better stuff.
Alethan: I'm good with NOT pressing our luck this time.
mjulius: That's how I know I'm home.
Pulpatoon: The whole point of PbP is to take the scheduling pressure off the game. We're just chatty because we're so eager!
Scott308: ...everyone should be reminded of just how wonderful the people they play games with here can be in real life.
Leitz: Quality and quantity wise, I think US is the best I've seen.
Paladin: I can promise terror, glory, and riches...or a quick and brutal death.
Inferno: Come on! That's was Vicar's Head, a completely different doomed village!
Rex: I can move to the wait list to let someone else into the game.

Just let me know if you have any issues navigating the site, Belk. I've written most of the documentation for the site. Same for the dice roller, though ToniXX has some good documentation already written for that.

Oh, and welcome! Looking forward to gaming with ya!

Sorry Hedge Monday was a busy day what with work, Opening Day here in the nati, and a few late afternoon plans that haven't freed me up until now in the wee hours of the night. I'll try to catch up.

No worries, AQ, just catching up myself!

And Belkregos is finally on board - welcome, my friend!

Just for informational purposes, I've been gaming online with Belkregos since the summer of 2006. We gamed together in a Conan rpg over on online-roleplaying.com and I also ran a game on there and he's been with me since then. He's a kick-ass gamer who may be a little more comfortable in 3.5 and Pathfinder, but he will do fine with 2E.

Anything can happen!

Already run a 1E campaign on RPoL (and play in a 1E game too), but am certainly open to going all the way back to the "purple" box beginning! ;)

Question: A kidney punch has a 5% chance of a K.O.
Does that mean 1-5% or 96-100%?

I ask because I rolled a 99% on the dice roller.

Ummm... I usually qualify those kinds of rolls by adding something to the roll text like, "Kidney Punch (KO 1%-5%) [1d100]".

Then the results are absolutely clear.

Or if I'm recovering arrows and I have a 50% chance of success... "Arrow Recovery (1%-50% is success) [1d100]"

And so on and so forth...

I usually label them as well, but usually go for the less likely thing needs to roll higher. So if something only has a 5% chance, it would be on 96-100.
