My only concern is what kind of relationship if any are shared between Bahamut and ilneval? I think Nokrugh is really coming into his own, let the mighty berserker run wild and free!

I'm waiting for the proverbial s*** to hit the fan in this crypt. Hedge i'm going to be so pissed if this crypt is fine and there's nothing wrong in here lol.

Good Tuesday morning, fellers! Posts are out and awaiting replies - haven't heard from a couple of you for a few days - hope everything is alright.
Summer affords me more time to post, so I'm going to try and clip things along as I can, and as I hear from you. However, if the majority have posted and I'm only waiting on one or two, I will likely go ahead and post for you (or leave your character alone if he is not in combat).

I'm also considering recruiting a couple of players to join Oggle in the mausoleum - he's already down a man (Darlond bought it), and it's only going to get worse for he and his companions. Your thoughts on this? Any suggestions for players?

It's hot at the beach, but the breeze is good, and there is a storm heading for the coast! Should get a lot of rain and wind by early next week. Won't be surprised if it turns into a hurricane once it crosses the warm waters off the coast of Florida. We'll see.

I think another player or two in Oggle's camp wouldn't be a bad thing.

No recommendations, though. Just make sure they can keep up a pace and don't call in posts (e.g. "I follow, holding the torch.") and they'll be good in my book.

I actually only have one beef because these are long term games I like to look at them long term. Is this going to become a problem to run more characters once the school year returns? If so then I think we may want to be careful.

I see your point and I can honestly say with 100% confidence that when school starts back, this game WILL slow down. I won't have the time to post during the day like I am now, so I will likely go back to posting either early mornings or late evenings and on weekends. Posting will be like a rollercoaster - some times I'll be able to fire off several posts in a row, then other times it will slow to once, maybe twice a week. It's the nature of the beast, I'm afraid.

But also, it's no more trouble running seven to eight players than it is running six.

Well my concern was 7 or 8 becoming too much to handle. If that's not an issue then I don't care. Obviously different periods of the year may be more or less busy that's understandable.

Never thought I would say this (or post this as the case may be) > but I "threw my back out" today. Yep, old age has finally set in! I was sore yesterday after working in the yard all week and was in a good amount of discomfort last night until I took some Advil around 2:00 am and went to sleep on the couch. Felt better today, just a little stiff until...I bent over to pick something up and damn near passed out. Sure hope I didn't slip a disc or something.
Needless to say, I'm not feeling very well, but will try to get out a couple of group posts in the morning. Got a new player to add to help out Oggle and another one coming in toward the end of next week.
Just wanted you all to know in case I go silent for a few hours or a day - hard to sit here and type, but wanted to get this out while I could.

Need to hear from Nokrugh before moving on in the werewolf thread...

Coming from someone with years of chronic back pain and recurring back injuries, I hope you get better soon.

Try ice and heat. Then go with whatever one feels best, regardless of what the doctors say.

Thank you, Hedge and Ale. Looking forward to some fun. I started my D&D excursions with 2nd ed, so this is a bit nostalgic.

As much as I like 1st Edition, I absolutely loved and still love 2nd edition! It holds some of my favorite gaming memories - sitting around the table or the living room and rolling dice until your fingers bled, home-cooked meals, laughing your ass off at each other, driving through rain and snow to get to the gaming place > just awesome memories. 2E will forever be my favorite edition.

My chiropractor (who has worked on me for many years) has been helping me out. At home I'm icing and biofreezing and stretching and (ugh) resting. Really miss my power walks and working in the yard. Will not be able to do that for another week at least.

Still, it gives me time and opportunity to roll some virtual dice! So, let's do it!!

Sorry to hear about the back. When I throw mine out its from doing stupid stuff like bending over to tie my shoes.

I am nursing my first long-term injury. In October of 2012 I pulled my bicep while setting something down. I can use my arm with out much issue, but it hurts like all get out if I carry any significant weight with it (30 pounds is about the limit without pain). Its crazy that it still hurts. Sometimes I might go a couple of days without issue, then I'll sleep on it wrong and it just hurts for a few hours. Or I'll be sitting at the computer and the weight of my arm is enough to make the bicep hurt.

Good thing about it is I now have something to complain about. :P

If it's still hurting that bad, you might have torn it - have you had x-rays? or an MRI? I tore the cartilage in my ribs several years ago and that set me back for several weeks. It's no fun getting old. ;)

Will move both threads on either later tonight or tomorrow > last night with family before they head back to TN. Plus, I'd like to give Cole, Darkstar, and Nokrugh a chance to post.

I've been bracing up my right knee for the last three weeks or so.

Was rough housing with my 2.9 year old and something went, "POP".

Went to two knee/joint specialists about it. First one said it wasn't a ligament, which is good. Said it was probably medial plica, which is when you have a bit of extra something on the inside of the sheathing that goes over your knee cap and that it's probably just catching on something and popping and it shouldn't be a big deal.

"Except that I can't put weight on it when I go up or down stairs."

Oh. That gets me a shot in the knee that worked mildly well for about a week. He said he could prescribe PT if it doesn't feel better after a month.

Went to the doctor that did my mom's knee surgery last year for a second opinion. He said, "Well... it's just a sign that you're getting older."

Seriously? Better not charge me more than $5 for that POS diagnosis. He didn't even suggest anything. I asked about an MRI and he said, basically, if he was going to do an MRI that it would be a precursor to going in and scoping out my knee.

Yeah, not doing that yet. Thanks for nothing, bro.

Guess I'll have to go back to the first doctor and get PT if it isn't better in a week or two. That sucks. Always bites into my Time Off and that is severely limited these days per the little person in sentence two of this post.
