Jason gets up and makes a pot of coffee and begins working through any social media, emails and the follow up from the Caddo Mound.

Joker

Joker takes the equipment used for the Caddo Mound and begins routine cleanup and diagnostics.

He opens up the gigameter, evaluating the damage. Will it be better to fix it or cannibalize parts for his modified Ghost trap containment?

Roy takes his time getting up and goes straight for the coffee after a quick 'pit stop'.

Lionel "Freight Train" Williams

Lionel heads out for his morning run.
Sometimes this summer I will most likely be participating in another 24 hour game of Dungeons & Dragons as part of Extra Life. This organization uses gaming to help raise money to donate to children's hospitals. I'm raising money for Marshfield Children's Hospital in Marshfield, WI, and all money I raise will go to that hospital. All donations are tax-deductible. Please take a moment to check out my donation page below. Thank you.

Nice out!  Bit of a Breeze from the Southeast

Joker gets an early start, heading directly to the lab to check out the damage done to the gigameter.  The good news is that since all equipment is synced via a link to their phones and therefore onto the GBI network itself, there is no lost data.  The bad thing is that there is a significant amount of damage to a few key components within the device itself.  He could easily fix it but it would take a couple of parts, and they have already blown through almost half of the parts they have laying around.  Moderate Brains roll to fix or you can specify that you want to salvage the rest of the gigameter for the same roll and earn up to 3 parts back.

Lionel:  Heads out for his morning run.  Please, roll a d100 to see what kind of random thing happens if any. :)

Mac makes it as far as the kitchen where Roy and Jason are pouring themselves some coffee when the intercom sounds with Julia's usual chipper voice:

Julia arrives on time as usual, with the usual trays of coffee and treats from the Fort Smith Coffee Company.  The secretary cannot resist taking one of the chocolate pastries from the box right away. Moving back to her desk she picks up the phone and hitting the intercom button: The time is now 8am this Monday morning. The temperature is a nice 73 degrees and the high today will only be 78 before it cools off for us when the afternoon storms roll through and knock the temperatures right back down to where they are now, Whoo Hoo!
On the agenda today is a quick updating for books by yours truly.  I hope you managed to make us some money with all this news coverage I am seeing!  Remember that the end of the month is coming soon, and GBI has left a notice that we are on our own after that.  On a final note, once more, a very thankful Coffee Company down the road has sent free coffee and breakfast which can be found in the breakroom. Good morning Old Fort Ghostbusters!

And she hangs up the receiver, munching on the delicious chocolate goodness as she settles into her chair to start her work, seeing the notes scribbled about invoicing the job from Saturday night.

Over the next few minutes she sends out the following messages which ping everyone's phones:

Everyone:  $4k from the Mound job!  Nice!  But question: How many entities are we charging for?  $4k for 1 and $1k for each extra.  Did we store any ghosts on this one?  That is another 1-time storage fee of $1.5k.  Just want to balance the books.  Will make sure to note the $500 inspection from Friday.

A Mr. Slimmerman has sent a message asking about the commercial deal?  Can someone tell me how to follow up on that?

Jason:  Hey, got a message from the university from a Dr. Burkley.  Said he might have information about local history that could be handy to you.  This is in regards to the message you posted last week, seeking contacts.

Etta:  A message just arrived from a Dr. Wolfeschlegesteinhausenbergerdorff (Is this for real?) Says he is ready to get back with you about an appointment and he is excited to hear from you.

Joker:  Not specifically to you, but seems your department.  A Dr. Ficklestein is wanting to contact someone about some possible collaboration project.  He was rather vague.

Lionel:  Got another stack of messages I could print off for you, would you like them or should I let them disappear in the ethers.  There is one that sticks out among the rest, Jamie Roth wants to know if you and the guys would be interested in a sit-down interview sometime.

Mac:  Sad Face.  No messages.

Roy:  William Campbell, Free Masons, Scottish Rite:  Confirming your scheduled visit tomorrow night around 7pm.  Would you like me to message back and confirm?

Joker
Joker is relieved that he didn't lose any of the data he had collected. As a secondary protection against Murphy, he makes a backup copy of the data and stores it to a flash drive, which he stashes in a drawer (and thereby offline).

He shakes his head at the destruction, and begins the process of disassembly and testing, hoping to collect usable parts.
[5d6] = 13 ghost [1d6] = 6

At some point, he'll wander into the common area to snag donuts and coffee.

Lionel "Freight Train" Williams

Lionel takes a few moments to reply to Julia. Re: commercial- ask Slimmerman if he has any particular time he wants me there- or someone else if he'd prefer. I'm pretty much open any time unless we have a job. I would like to get the lights and siren on the Echo beforehand, but need help from Joker or Roy if they have time.

Re: messages- could you forward Jamie's request to the rest of the team? I'm obviously willing to do an interview, but people have heard me talk enough. They're gonna start getting sick of hearing from me. I can't give as much hard info as some of the sciency folks can, so we definitely need a more rounded group for a sit-down. If none of the other messages look like anything, I don't know...I guess print 'em and I'll take a look. It seems rude to just ignore them. For now, anyway.

Roy "Thanks Jules! Oh yes leave a message that I have confirmed that appointment. I'll add a reminder to my phone now so i wont forget." he says looking over the breakfast food options, sets down his coffee and takes out his cell adding the appointment now to make sure he is not late. Then grabbing his coffee he goes off to the TV and turns on the news to see what's the latest on he makes sure to avoid Bur's station, he goes for channel 4.

Joker is in fact able to salvage 3 high demand parts which are now added to the inventory. Down one Gigameter, +4 repair parts.

He gets to the lobby about the time Julia is shooting off messages. She looks up at Joker. Morning! Get any rest yesterday?
Looks like you guys were busy after I left.

Noted: Julia does this.

Yes!

As Lionel is jogging, there is a large white Cadillac cuts across traffic to more than a few honked horns as it pulls up to the curb and a window rolls down. Well now, mornin' son. Why don't you hop in and we have a talk. It was the Mayor, big car, big smile, bigger cigar, and big puff of blue smoke.

Jason takes his laptop to the couch next to Roy and begins looking though the morning email, a few Exciting opportunities in Nigeria and some herbal viagra ads in he remembers he should share his good news and pulls out his phone and brings up Gabby's contacts.

Had a crazy night last night, can't wait to tell you about it! Do you have dinner plans?

He goes back to his emails finally opening the one from Julia containing Dr. Burkley's Message.

Joker
Joker grins at Julia- a big, toothy smile. Sleep? HA! We Turks do not need sleep- we merely wait!

He laughs, self-mockingly. I have been too winded up to sleep, so far. I am sure I will fall down soon enough.

Ah, well, sir, if I get in the car, can you put out the cigar, please? I would prefer not being in an enclosed space and have to deal with second-hand smoke.

He laughs a little and sets the cigar in the ashtray to burn out, rolls down the windows and puts down the top. Lots of custom gold trim in that cab now gleams in the sun. White leather seats too. There we go. Wouldn't want my star getting ill, especially on the new upholstery. Get on in here. Yes, sah...

I was wondering! Just hear the news on the radio while I was going into work. You okay? Better not be overdoing it! Need more soup? I can have Kaime bring you some or I can come by at lunch. No, no dinner plans, yet. What do you have in mind?

From: Dr. Calvin Burkley, Prof. History UAFS
To: Dr. Jason O'Rourke
Regarding: Ad for local history on the Supernatural

Good morning, Dr.,

Responding in regards to your open letter published last week. I have a collection of news articles and various interviews dating back to the mid 1800's from Fort Smith and surrounding regions that might be useful in your studies. Most are general newspaper archives like one would expect and a few books on local history. I do possess a few journals and reports from the earlier eras as well. Though rare, I have a few earlier pieces too. If you would like to schedule a time to come by or meet somewhere else in town, please contact me at [number enclosed] or via email at your convenience. Quid Pro Quo, I would like a look at your own research as it becomes available on a strictly professional level.

Sincerely,

Dr. Calvin Burkley, Ph.D.
