Re: Mission 3: What Have You Read on Kindle?
Well, what he hadn't already sweated past the point of pleasant, was now soaked as Jason and the guys got back to the firehouse. He had been keeping up with them, and they were walking not jogging or anything, Made...uhh...*pant *...uhh...*pant*...Made good time guys... he takes a deep breath in and then a loud Whew. We need to all get on the same page with the others. You good for a meeting real quick? He looks at the guys Im starting to get a feeling this game has even more players. He walks in and starts calling for Etta and Roy, when he hears any response, he will respond Hey we need to touch base, we got news.

Roy goes to see what all the fuss is about and brings the repaired phones with him. Holding the phones up he says "I fixed em. Now whats all this then about game and more players? We playing call of duty or dungeons and dragons?"

No, wait actually lets put a pin in that. Right now we gotta fill you in on the haunted history of this place. But lets Find Etta first. Meet up in the library asap. He Continues the hunt for Etta down the halls.
Re: Mission 3: What Have You Read on Kindle?
Palpatoon mentioned he may be afk for a bit so we can NPC him when needed
Let's say everyone is in the lab or conference room at the moment and you can have you meeting there.

Re: Mission 3: What Have You Read on Kindle?
A quick recap of what we have so far
Papa P. is helping you with the Kindle Problem.
-Specifically looking into the banishing ritual and how to re-bind him to another tree.
The guys came back from the historical site knowing
-There is a LOT of paranormal readings going on, enough to short out a PKE on normal settings.
-A working theory is to set them up to infinity and dial down so as not to short them out.
-Lots of hints at haunting on the grounds.
-Possible encounter at the gallows.

What have you read on Kindle?
Aug. 10, 2018, 8am
Warm, Humid
Julia Opened the front door and walked in, hands full with tote, purse, backpack, a baker's box and a tray with 6 coffee's. She struggles with the door a little and kicks it shut with her foot and moves forward towards her desk. Morning guys! she calls out as she makes it over to her desk. She manages to set everything down without spilling anything and reaches over to sign into her computer. While that boots up, she takes the pastries over to the break area.
The secretary cannot resist taking one of the pastries from the box right away. Moving back to her desk she picks up the phone and hitting the intercom button. The time is now 8am this Friday morning. The temperature is a steamy 78 degrees and the high today will be 98. On the agenda today is a stack of non-emergency calls, free coffee and breakfast can be found in the breakroom. Good morning Old Fort Ghostbusters!
And she hangs up the receiver, munching on the croissant as she settles into her chair to start her work.

Re: Mission 3: What Have You Read on Kindle?
Etta comes in, looking fresh but a little sheepish. "Sorry for skipping out on you boys, last night. I guess the day just caught up with me all in a rush! It was all I could do to get these old bones to bed."
Sitting down, she cuts a danish carefully in half and takes a nibble. She sees her repaired phone and offers earnest thanks to Roy, before turing to Jason. "So, what happened at the site, last night? Tell me everything!"

Re: Mission 3: What Have You Read on Kindle?
Jason makes his way to the kitchen in basketball shorts and a sleeveless Mack Trucking bulldog shirt in time to hear Ettas mea culpa. No reason to fret, but tyeres something going on at the old courthouse too. We met someon...thing there last night, not a hostile but he shook my hand and, he pauses and thinks, You know in the Bible they talk about angels and they aren't there to bring terror but they are also a man with a lions head and three thousand eyes all on fire. I can only assume that the people that saw them felt like i felt last night when that thing shook my hand. he pauses thinking about thier hasty rearward advance and shakes his head and takes a drink of coffee.Ill be frank, I dont know what it was only he didnt seem hostile, just like he could stare down Ol Scratch and never blink.
Re: Mission 3: What Have You Read on Kindle?
Based on what Jason just said because I think it was an awesome insight, roll brains everyone!
Jason & Roy: Mod Roll make sure to add you Occult specialty for +5d6
Lionel: Mod Roll... But I am giving you a +4 for your background through PAIN so you have a 1 in 6 chance here.
Etta: Mod roll, should be easy enough to know, your research specialty can be applied if you want to look something up.
Mac: Hard roll if you want to apply history. Mod if not.

Etta looks a little starstruck as Jason fills in the details. "Do... do you think it could be the actual ghost of Reeves himself? Still keeping the peace after all these years, in the shadow of his own statue?"
She restarts her newly repaired phone and starts researching possibilities.
Research: [6d6] = 28 Ghost: [1d6] = 5

Roy merely gives Jason back the repaired phone since Etta took hers back already.

Lionel grabs a donut, muttering, I got in a good run this morning, I think I'll have one of these today. He sits down with his donut and water, listening to the conversation. We can head back over when it's open for busines if anybody else wants to check it out.

Etta gets one of those feelings a avid reader does when they have seen something before and cannot quite remember what it was, but has a good idea what she was working on at the time. She walks over to one of the books in the small but so far surprisingly effective library and flips through a few pages until she comes to something that makes her Etta senses tingle a bit. She begins skimming through pages and then comes to a part about angels. Specifically... Angel's of justice such as:
Jason Raguel ... he remembers and starts reciting what he remembers about angels turning fallen heroes who fought for justice in their life whom they found worthy into spiritual entities that could then keep up the fight in their afterlife. When he grabs Torbin's Spirit Guide, there is a subsection on this within the broader section of the "Chorus of Angles" where it begins listing off the Arch Angels of the Abrahamic Religeons:
Raguel (also Raguil, Rasuil, Rufael, Raquel, Rakul, Reuel, and Akrasiel) is an angel mainly of the Judaic traditions. He is considered the Angel of Justice. His name means "Friend of God".
Raguel is almost always referred to as the archangel of justice, fairness, harmony, vengeance and redemption. He is also sometimes known as the archangel of speech.[citation needed] In the Book of Enoch, cap. XXIII, Raguel is one of the seven angels whose role is to watch. His number is 6, and his function is to take vengeance on the world of the luminaries who have transgressed God's laws.
Futhermore, Etta finds: Raguel's duties have remained the same across Jewish and Christian traditions. Much like a sheriff or constable Raguel's purpose has always been to keep fallen angels and demons in check, delivering heinous judgment upon any that over-step their boundaries. He has been known to destroy wicked spirits, and cast fallen angels into Hell (called Gehenna in the Hebrew Old Testament and called Tartarus in the Greek New Testament).
Raguel is not mentioned in the canonical writings of the Bible. However, in 2 Enoch, which is generally considered non-canonical, the patriarch Enoch was carried as a mortal to and from Heaven by the angels Raguel and Sariel.
Julia walks in about this time and looks around. Uhm.... what's going on? Everything okay?

Sorry I had a big post the other day get eaten by the internet and just have been slammed since.
Yeah, I would think thats a pretty smart line of thinking. I dont quite know what to make of it to be sure but needless to say its definitely in another weight class from what I've dealt with, he thinks visibly, scratching his beard. I'm gonna drag ever resource I can think of on this, but if this is connected to Raguel thats big. Like Archangel big, we should definitely see the Padre on this. It is his specialty. About the time he finishes his sentence he snaps back, stopping looking at the invisible conspiracy board in his mind and turns to Julia, I may have met a divine being last night, so we can add Angels to the list of things happening in lil ol Old Fort. He grins and takes a sip of coffee.
