Hot, Humid

Julia Drives the now abbreviated team back more or less across the street now to the Firehouse. As they get out, Julia pops the trunk in the front of the little Yellow Bug so they can unload their equipment. She shakes her head. What a morning... I hope Etta and Lionell are doing better than us. She pulls out her phone and shoots a text as she walks around to the front door seeing Joker & Bur chit chatting. Oh! Hello! Uh... excuse me... I can let us all in... she moves to the door and unlocks it taking down the note off the door. She stood aside to let the men in and Bur took off his hat but motioned for Djzokar to enter first.

Roy shakes his head and rubs the back of his neck with one hand "I sure hope Jason and Jacob get better. I told you I hate snakes now can we get an exterminator to deal with the mound before we ever go back there?" Sorry if I got names wrong I'm posting from my cell.

The Echo pulls into the basement garage, and Etta pops up the stairs to join the others. "Good news, everybody we've got a—Oh, hello!" She smiles widely to Joker Jalal and Bur.

After introductions are made, she she says, "Lionel and I have a paying gig! Would somebody grab Jason, and we can give everyone a briefing?"

Upon hearing what happened to Jason, she is eager to go visit the fallen Ghostbuster.

Joker Jelal

Joker sketches a small bow to the group. Hello. I'm Joker Jelal, your new hire. (When he pronounces it, it's not quite 'Joker'; more like 'zho-karr'.)

To Julie: I believe you know this gentleman, nodding at Bur. He has asked about a tour of the facility. I knew I had no authority, so I referred him to yourself.

To the group: It feels a bit like Rush Week at the moment- I have walked into a bit of a cyclone. As I said, I'm Joker. I hate to brag about myself, but I am highly educated in electronic engineering and high-energy physics. When we are not involved in an investigation or elimination, I'll be the go-to for repairs to our more delicate equipment. I hope I'm not the only soccer fan here- and I really hope I won't be forced to fight anyone for the use of the television when the World Cup is on. He smiles, a flash of white teeth behind his bushy mustache.
Physically, he's short and slender, dressed in a white button-down shirt and neatly pressed jeans.

If someone could give me a help with my baggage, I would appreciate it. The trunk with the blue tag goes to the library, and the one with the yellow tag goes to the electronics workbench.

To Etta: I am sorry- I did not mean to take your thunder. I am glad to hear about any cases we may be involved in.

Etta to Joker: "Oh my stars and garters! I couldn't be happier to see you, Mister Jelal! Zhoo-kir, do I have that right? We have had some very concerning problems with our containment unit. I know we'll all sleep better knowing that it has been the subject of your expert appraisal!"

Roy looks like he's blanked out for a moment staring a bit slackjaw as Joker makes his intro. "Uh I'm Roy I fix computers. Nice to meet you Joker." the tall nerdy fellow offers to help with the luggage "I'll help ya with your bags." he looks a bit dismayed that yet another person smarter than him is in the place and into sports which Roy never really has been into. " I don't suppose you've ever heard of D&D have you Joker?" he says trying to change the subject.

Hot & Humid Outside

Julia looks at Roy and shakes her head.  Hey, if you want to pay to take out someone else's snakes, be my guest, but I think that is going to be Brother Barry's job.  I can write an addendum to our contract asking for assistance with that though, or require him to take care of it before we come out.  I need to know now though if Mac is right and this is something that needs to happen by tomorrow night.  I don't see it being a problem though.  Thankfully our insurance covers on the job medical expenses, so we have that going for us.

She then turns to see Bur and Joker and puts on a professional smile.  Nice to meet you Joker.  I read on your paperwork you prefer to be called by your nickname, correct?  And hello Mr. Westmolin.  I hope you have not been waiting long.  We were out checking a couple of different jobs this morning and I offered to help the guys get around.

Bur looks around with an observant eye and then nods to the others, exchanging handshakes and the like before turning back to Julia.  No problem at all.  Mr. Joker here was more than pleasant company. They all noticed that he looked to be in a much better mood that they had seen before.  +1 Bp to Joker for making a good impression on a Press Member

The reporter then gets an investigative eye and looks to Etta  Containment Unit.  That is where you... he looks at some notes on his small notepad and nods.  Incarcerate the ghosts, is that right?  Do you say it is having problems?  He asks it flatly, not rude.  There was the curiosity of course that she could hear in his tone, all the same.

In the meantime, Julia was back to work behind her desk jotting notes about writing up invoices for what they had done so far on the two open jobs, and transferring phones back to the desk from her cell.  She handed Joker his company phone and the copy of his contract to keep for records while filing the rest of his information.

Someone roll me a d100, please.

Roy to Julia "Yes I'd say we ask that snake problem get taken care of before we can go back. Good thinking Julia." he says before going back to helping with the luggage. Casually he tries to tell Bur "Containment unit, does exactly as it sounds keeps the ghosts contained so yeah it's sorta like a ghost jail."

Joker Jelal

To Etta: That's closer than most people manage. But honestly, 'Joker' is fine. I've answered to that since my first week at MIT. I've even signed my name that way a few times. He smiles.

I'll be glad to dig into the circuits on the Containment Unit. I'm sure it's a relatively minor issue. I would like to hear about what's currently happening with any investigations we have first- I'd like to be up to par.
As luggage is being taken to it's destinations: I haven't played D&D. The men in my dorm were more into Pathfinder- with an occasional round of Outbreak when we felt like smashing zombies.

Etta is chagrinned to have dropped such a tidbit in front of a reporter. "Yes, it's vital to our work, and, uhm, well, there were some issues with its installation. A lose connection, wasn't it, Roy? Due diligence caught the issue in time to avoid any trouble, but we don't like to take any risks with any of our important equipment. Our previous tech specialist had to leave the team on short notice, but GBI was able to send Mr. Jelal here to see to our needs in less than two days!"

Lionel "Freight Train" Williams

Uh, maybe we shouldn't talk about company business with a civilian around? Soccer, huh? Not really my thing, I'm an American football guy myself. I admit I don't know when the World Cup is, but as long as it isn't on Saturdays or Sundays in the fall, we should be fine. Oh, or Monday and Thursday nights in the fall, as well.

He then helps Roy bring in Joker's luggage.

Joker Jelal
Joker makes sure that all his baggage is in the right places, then leads the others back to the office area.I assume that we need to have a staff meeting to share information as soon as we can. I'll unpack later.
His trunk in the library has every textbook he used in electronic engineering and high energy physics classes, plus a few reference books. There's also the first 21 volumes of The Destroyers and a handful of James Rollins' Sigma Force novels.
The trunk in the Electronic lab has a few more books, a pair of journals, and a high quality set of tools for electronic repair.

Roy nods to Joker and as he turns around a book shows to be in his rear pocket of his jeans all that shows is the authors name Douglas Adams. "Guess we'll be going back down to see what the reporter wants yeah?" he asks. "Granted we got that paying job but I was hoping to get some time reading." he says pulling the book out of his pocket the title shows it's Mostly Harmless book 5 of the hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy series. Roy heads off back downstairs to see if Julia needs any further help with Bur.

Before the luggage gets stashed away, Julia hands Joker one of the company phones. It seems much less beat up that some of the other that the rest of the team are carrying. Here you go. Standard issue, GBI company phone. I am sure you are familiar with it from training, but the other guys here can help you with some of the features. the turning to look at the rest of the team. This was Jake's phone.

Bur is looking around the lobby area and nodding, taking some notes. Julia pulls him aside once she has her desk in order and offers to give him a short tour of the 1st floor. Then he surprises her: No, that will be okay. I'll schedule another tour later.
I think I have what I need for a story to make my deadline.
